I said im leaning Jags but wouldn't surprise me if the Jets won

Don't hurt yourself way out on that limb.
Losing to the Jets is a pretty awful sign, but as most will say in the game of football, its never as good(or bad in this case) as it looks. We were a few plays away from taking this game even with the refs spotting the Jets 7. I don't see how on earth you don't call the back down, it was plain as day her tripped over Smith.

In terms of wins.... Wins always matter. I don't care if we win 3-0 every week and go 19-0 winning 3-0 every game I would be thrilled we won, because winning is all that matters. That said, I think this team is right where I thought they would be, a up and down team around 6 to 9 wins. We are fine, just need to sure up the run defense and we are fine.
This guy is a clown that didn't even watch the game

Hurns is a #2 at best. What do you want me to say? I realize you don't want to change your signature block, but take off the real glasses.

When did i say he was a 1st?  You said he didn't even have a catch, watch the games at least

The D kept the Jets in the game too by allowing nearly 500 yards in offense.  A couple of flash plays don’t hide the fact that they were taking a knee today just like the offense.

You act surprised. It's the same old Jags. That's why I wasn't buying in when everyone had a W for this game.

Try not to impale yourself jumping back and forth over that fence.  You predict a Jags win then gurgle and snort that you expected a loss.  If the world didn’t already look at you as a joke, you took care of that for sure.
Our D is solid. Does it need work? Yes. Should we expect our D to carry the game when the primary offensive player can't even display fundamental skills to put some points on the board to give them some breathing room? The Jets had the easiest job in the league today. They only had to defend against a one dimensional offense. They know when Bortles is having a bad day he can't hit the side of a barn and his abilities erode with the game clock. Just stop the run and the rest will take care of itself. If we had a QB that could expand the offensive attack, Fournette and Ivory would have feasted. Instead, they were increasingly stopped at the scrimmage line because the Jets knew they could stack the box with little concern about the passing game. We. Need. A. Quarterback.
Lee is just a WR3. Not a WR1. (This auto correct sucks)
Poz had a brain fart

Telvin Smith messed up

Bortles is so aweful
We get more and more evidence this defense is elite and more and more evidence Bortles can't routinely be a competent QB. We need to make a move. Bortles didn't lose us this game but he came as close as possible
Wins matter. Period.

Especially in a division that is clearly up for grabs.
If Mariota is out for awhile this will sting even more... Need to take advantage of any time the Titans are without their QB
“We won this week! We are the greatest Jaguars ever!”
“We lost this week! We need to clean house!”

The performance against the run is the most egregious display of defense I've seen from this team in a while.

FT said they played like the Colts.

Ouch!

What makes it so bad is the Jets did not, by any stretch of the imagination, have the kind of offense to command taking an 8th guy out of the box, and we still couldn't stop them.

In the past, we've had problems containing outside runs.

Today, it was inside, cut back runs that KILLED this team.

I know a struggling Steelers offense with Leveon Bell will look to run the ball down our throats.

The Jaguars in a nutshell. Spot on.

I thought he was boycotting.... guess like everything else he posts here that was bull too.    Why do I think he was actually glad the Jags lost so he could come gloat here.   TMD part 2. That's the worst part about the Jags losing yesterday. Had they won, Bklyn would have claimed he didn't watch the game because he is boycotting. Since they lost he wants to come gloat about it here after watching the game (as we all knew he would).

As for the Jags... lots of blame to go around obviously, but in this one I blame playcalling more than anything.   Too many short yardage plays with Fournette on the sidelines, and three passes from the 6 when Bortles was having such a bad day?   Crazy.
Let's not forget we are still first place in our division (due to tie break).

Let's keep some perspective here and look around the league. It was one of the talking heads that pointed out how bizarre of a season it has been so far. He made the observation that almost every team in the league is dealing with a major flaw with their team and that the teams that can figure out how to compensate for that flaw over the course of the season will be the teams in the playoffs.

It's too early to get our heads down. I still think we are one of those teams that can learn to compensate for their flaws.

I have some confidence in this staff to be able to fix up a few things and find ways to mitigate or compensate for others.

It's early and we're not in terrible shape.

We have seen it time and time again.

His mechanics are crap, he throws terrible ball, has zero feel for the game and "guides" every throw no matter how short. He is easily the worst QB in NFL.

No good WRs.
No good QBs.

How is our high priced free agent dline getting manhandled by a bunch of scrubs????

I mean it should be up to the linebackers and safety to plug the holes and stop the run but that's just my opinion. When they are leading the league in sacks, they're doing their job up front.
