Does it honestly matter at this point?
Quote:31-17 Texans. We keep it close until halftime.

You say this every freakin' game.  What a shocker.
My predicition? Pain...
Anyone that posts here that they believe the Jaguars will beat the Texans should get a mention in the "Biggest Homer" thread.

I actually think the gags will win 20-17

I'm just not doing this anymore.

is there a scream or a swear room on this board. We should be allowed to just cut loose loose some where. No kids

We'll lose and hopefully Gus will be gone the following day.

That bum isn't going anywhere. They missed the boat on that one.

It's SOP for certain posters on this board. Every prediction and opinion is negative then when the team does lose (sadly too much) they act like they're god's gift to football opinions and predictions. Of course during those brief three weeks where we beat the clots and the Bears in succession they were nowhere to be found.

Those teams were hot garbage when we played them. Nothing to be proud of, Russ.

Stellar job missing the point.

It doesn't take a neurosurgeon to predict the Jags will lose. They do that on their own because they are the worst coached team in the past decade of the NFL. Gloating after beating ham sandwich teams is nothing to be proud of, Russ.

Somehow you simultaneously proved as well as missed the point. Yes, predicting the Jaguars will lose isn't a bold prediction, hence why getting a prediction right like that isn't a big deal. Yet considering the amount of "I told you so" and "I knew this was going to happen" posts I see on here every time we lose you'd think this was some kind feat of brilliantly critical football thinking. It's like saying home games in September are going to be hot and then acting all superior when you remember to bring sun screen, even when 99% of the people have also brought sun screen.

And I didn't say anything about gloating about beating the clots and the Bears, I said the usual suspects that normally post their drivel after every loss were strangely absent after those two games.

Like who exactly?

Those were not feel good wins and no fan not smoking crack cocaine walked away from those games feeling good about the future of this franchise. We nearly lost a 21 pt 4th quarter lead at "home" against Indy and counted on a defensive back slipping and forgetting to touch a receiver I had never even heard of until that day to beat a Bears team with a backup QB.

I don't think anybody gloats about predicting a Jaguar loss. It is now simply about taking pride in predicting the losing score.

The point of predictions isn't to try to outsmart everybody. It's a straightforward question: will the Jags win or lose? Based on the track record with the dopey head coach, they lose nearly 80% of the time. I'm sure people aren't making predictions just to be ground breaking or the smartest guy in the message boards. It's basically just making a prediction based on the product we see on the field every Sunday. Get over yourself.
