Cute headline. It is very bad news for the Raiders if he will be out six weeks.
The key for the Raiders while Derek Carr is out for the QB position not to lose games for them with turnovers and to a lesser extent avoidable sacks.

Unfortunately a sack is what broke Derek Carr's back. It will be even harder for E.J. Maneul to get out of the pocket. However, Manuel is supposedly an upgrade from Matt McGoin as a backup.

E.J. Manuel has better physical ability than Matt McGloin. Yet, Manuel, based on his past history is more prone to key mistakes.
The Raiders have 3 straight home games, including against the Chiefs. If they win at least 2 of these games, they likely will survive the injury to Derek Carr.

I am worried about that Chiefs game. If Kansas City can beat the Patriots on the road, imagine what they can do to a backup QB. The other two games are more winnable.

W/o Derek Carr, the Chiefs game doesn't look promising for the Raiders. Even with Carr, the Chiefs have had the Raiders number. The Chiefs have a 5 game winning streak over the Raiders. All of which Carr played in.

Yeah, the last Raiders/Chiefs game I watched was ugly and Derek Carr played in it. Kansas City is going to win the AFC Best this season if they sweep the series.

Impressive that you were able to decipher the double meaning of that headline instead of taking it literally......nice that you can turn it on and off.
I'm actually excited to see EJ play btw. We know he's not a good qb, so now we will get a better idea of carr elevated the raiders, or if it's moreso the opposite .

Not impressive at all, actually. In an article about why the Raiders will have a very good offense this season, one reason given was, "Carr is repaired." That was a reference to his leg being fully healed before OTAs.
