We already seen the guy that broke every franchise-record and only one fire games so now he's in the new role so don't criticize him for that as well. Some of y'all need to find bigger things to be mad about instead of a QB who has done his job today.

Just like I said in the previous thread Marcus Mariota had similar type games last year and no one said a thing but want to hit on plate for playing the same role that the Tennessee Titans has put on Marcus Mariota throughout his career. Some of y'all are being difficult

You are my favorite Jaguars Monday caller.

No I'm not that Leo from Mandarin who calls it on Monday morning. I like him too but unfortunately I can't take credit for his glory. LOL

Sayyyyyyyyyyy what!? There's two of you?
guys stop, if defense didnt dominate and we had to win by scoring with our offense and the passing game, blake would have come up short, thats just a fact

we will win when our defense forces turnovers, and lose when they dont

that simple

There was no evidence of a lack of trust today. You do remember Marrone saying that he'd like to call a run every play? That statement had nothing to do with Bortles, and everything to do with wanting a commanding lead.
So if the Jags were down by 10 and the defense doesn't give you a few TDs, like the jets game, do you trust Bortles to drive down the field and score?  Or would you hope with a stacked box LF can do it?

You have to trust your QB in that case. That's basically what the Steelers did today. It didn't work for them, but that was their only chance.

Yep there's two of us. LOL
It's a shame the Jags can't combine the new found running game and defense with a passing attack that works consistently.
That is WHAT getting LF to go with Ivory and Yeldon was supposed to do...remember?
But in spite of his going to California to work on his mechanics....he's same old same old.

Yes. bb5 did what was asked of him....
I suppose because that was the best chance of winning against the squealers.
I just hope Fournette doesn't get injured or we're in deep stuff.

If ARob weren't injured the offense would probably be a bit more functional passing.

Lee did a good job catching passes that hit him this week, but having a guy like ARob that is open down the field even when he's covered would make a huge difference this season. With ARob I think the Jaguars would be 5-0 right now.
Arobs absence made me realize how mediocre our receivers actually are. No Bortles isn’t great but the receivers may be a bigger part of the suck than most realize.

Our receivers are pedestrian at best and you remember Blake's rookie year when he lost a Rob then and how the passing game fell off because of it.
Bortles is broken. I've moved on.

This is Fournette's team now.

Bortles is 3 and 2 this year so the team has not moved on from him. I do agree with you though this is fournette offense based on how Tom Coughlin and Doug Marrone want to construct this team.
I agree that our WRs are pedestrian. Once we get DD back that will change. He got Odell Beckham and Antonio Brown type talent.

Lee is so over rated. And Hurns is so reliable. He's earned his spot.
Bortles is playing OK. He's converting some key downs with his legs. Lee is far too inconsistent to be a starter and hurns is a run of the mill possession receiver. Our TEs are pedestrian. It's hardly greatest show on turf stuff.

I am truly excited by Dede Westbrook so I agree with you on that one
I honestly wonder why Hurns isn't playing better. He had a great 2015 and now he's fallen off the map.

To answer your question without a number one receiver like A-Rob on the other side to take pressure off him he's very limited to what he can do production wise.
It's just unfortunate we're being held back by one position. One position that isn't even asking much with our running game and defense. You just need a halfway decent QB and we're a force.

lol
Last week BB5 threw a game winning TD to 4NETTE that was called back on a terrible call then had 11 DROP a perfect pass to set up the game winning kick. I'd say he's doing his job and the team let him down.
Bortles didn't lose us the game so nice job!
