Full Version: Should Chris Ivory start?

The last three weeks Chris Ivory has been running more than T.J. Yeldon and gaining more YPC - or so it seems as I have not read any stats for the two players. Yeldon is much better as a pass catcher than as a pure runner like Ivory is. Based on the eye test, I think swapping their names on the depth chart would make sense.

It doesn't really matter who "starts" when they are using them as a tandem, IMO.

They both get a similar number of carries/touches.

Yeldon started today. I don't see what the point of depth chart numbering is. It literally makes about as much difference as your asinine post count does.

Why do you think my post count is asinine?
The title should read if we run the ball on 2nd and 1, 3rd and 1, or 4th and 1 who should get the ball?  Yeldon did today both times

Oh you must have missed it, that was sarcasm.
Imo Ivory is the better back.

DC was desperate for a RB and made a huge reach to get Yeldon

Should Ivory start? Yes

exactly! Why are they taking a slash runner like yeldon and sticking the ball in his hands in obvious 'grind out' yardage situations? Are the coaches trying to be 'sneaky' or something and think they'll fool someone? It seems to me that most of the time we do this we get the same kind of poor results. I think the only people the coaches are 'fooling' (if that is the case) is themselves.

Should have waited and taken David Johnson.

Can't wait to hear Gus try to explain that folly.

Very bad sarcasm. There is no way I could have detected it.

RB was a high priority in that draft. What bothers me about the pick is hearing David Johnson, who quickly because one of the best RBs in his rookie year, was available to us while watching him play. Hindsight is 20/20 though.
