Meh, we handled Mercilus, Watt, Suggs, TJ Watt, Wilkerson, Casey, etc just fine this year.

While I'd prefer Linder to be playing of course. Donald himself doesn't scare me too much.

This just in:

Rich people get sick, too.

Film at 11.

It's not just this season. It's an on going issue with him. He played 15 games his rookie year. Then he played 3 games his second year. He missed two games last year and he's now missed two this year. It doesn't justify nor warrant overpaying him the way they did this off-season. Especially when they have other contracts to extend on the defensive side of the football. He's good when he's healthy. But he hasn't been ironclad or Kevin Mawae or Bruce Matthews quality play wise at Center to make him the highest paid player at his position. If not of all time.

But it's an on going concern that needs to be revisited if it continues to get worse this year. It's common sense. I am fully aware that rich folks and poor folks and folks in the middle class get sick. A lot of us suck it up and go to work though. We don't all have the luxury of being a little [BLEEP] about it. I suggest we adopt the term "Grit" as a way to define ourselves. Whatever happened to that?

And I am not saying to outright get rid of the guy. I am not that foolish. But what I am saying is that we need to be prepared to cut ties with him if it continues and we need to be able to rely on a more suitable stand in if needed. Shatley held up well against Pittsburgh. But he could totally get his [BLEEP] kicked tomorrow too. It happens. The best ability is availability. And giving him a record breaking $24M guaranteed to be available is a concern now already at this point in the year. He's not better than Alex Mack. And he's not better than Travis Frederick. I don't think he's even better than Rodney Hudson, Maurkice Pouncey, Mike Pouncey and Ryan Kalil to be completely honest with you.

The only one of those players we met for the first time is T.J. Watt IIRC. Maybe Muhammed Wilkerson.

How often was Aaron Donald double-teamed against the Seahawks?
Anyone know what the mysterious "illness" is with Linder?
