"Colin Kaepernick has filed a grievance against NFL team owners he believes are conspiring not to hire him because of his protests against racial injustice.
Kaepernick, 29, has been without a team since he opted out of his contract with the San Francisco 49ers in March.
He first protested by sitting during the national anthem in August 2016, before opting to kneel instead....."

What I can't understand is why do so many teams support kneeling, fist raising, sitting, locking arms, and even staying in the locker room, but refuse to sign the player who started it last year, even if they need a QB?

Wasn't he close to a deal with the Ravens until his girlfriend made the "master and slave" comment about Ravens' owner Steve Bisciotti and Ray Lewis? Did Kaepernick ever comment publicly about Lewis' explanation of how it went down? That might be helpful if clarity was the goal. It just seems to me that he probably prefers to not be on a roster so that he can use that fact to further his own non-football related ends.

Because it’s not just about that. At best Kaepernick is average. His lack of talent, when mixed with the distraction factor, is not going to get him signed. People just can’t seem to accept he’s not that good.

Because it’s not just about that. At best Kaepernick is average. His lack of talent, when mixed with the distraction factor, is not going to get him signed. People just can’t seem to accept he’s not that good.
Have you seen some of the back up QBs in the league?
It's pretty clear that Kaepernick is being blackballed but I don't see how in the world he going to be able to prove it.

The media has been saying over and over and over it must be about politics because other QBs who are worse than he is had little or no difficulty getting new jobs. Ryan Fitzpatrick, Mike Gleenon, Matt Barkley, and others I can't remember were not unemployed very long.
Notice I said in combination with the distraction factor. Why sign Kaepernick when you can sign another underwhelming QB without the circus ?

Because Kaepernick is better than the other underwhelming QBs who got jobs. Good starting QBs stated their opinions that it is ridiculous a player good enough to play in the NFL is unemployed.

Gabbert is one of the QBs who should not have beat Kaepernick out in free agency. Any Jaguars fan knows which one of them is better.

Bingo. You get it. The difference is negligible so it doesn’t matter. Owners know that if you are down to your backup QB it doesn’t matter who it is, 98.7 percent chance that you’re screwed.

Comparing him to other bad quarterbacks, do you think he is actually worse than all of them, including Gabbert, Glennon, Fitzpatrick, Barkley, Sanchez, and guys you never heard of?
