Why is this dude kicking the ball down the center of the goal posts ??

... kind of boring if you ask me ... taking all of the fun out of our field goals and extra points.
My anxiety level during kicks decreased by 75%
It's the long ones we have to worry about.

Why are you the way you are? Are you this negative in real life too?
Consistency is key.

Vinatieri has a hall of fame career out of being consistent.  He's 85% (504 of 584 under 50 yards) and only 65% (37 of 58 of kicks 50+ yards).  As you can see, only 10% (58 of 584) of Vinatieri kicks are attempted from 50 yards or more.

Conversely, Jason Myers attempted 19 out of 79 kicks from 50+ yards which represents 24%.  Unfortunately, he only hit on 53% of those (10 of 19) and wasn't consistent with the extra points so he had to go.  Suprisingly, Myers was actually 50 of 54 on FGs inside the 50 (which is 92.5%)

Moving forward, I'd like to go the Vinatieri route and focus on field goals of 45 yards or less and perhaps punt the ball when faced with 50+ yards to pin the opponent inside their 15 yard line.

Great point. I completely agree.

It's a NY thing..I've been around a lot of New Yorkers and they are all the same...They only concentrate on the bad things, and when you fix a bad thing, they start on another bad thing...

I 100% agree with this point
I consider myself a decently negative guy in life but this guy takes it to a whole new level. It's absurd how everyone of his posts is so negative.

The Jags could win the SB and he would complain they didn't win by enough
If the Jags win the Super Bowl this year, then I'll fly to NY and me and Brooklyn will go to anger management classes. So he can learn to be positive.

Have you lived in New York?  Take heed not to sound absolutely thick, from way outside looking in, and talking to 6/12/24 random folks with NY affiliation.

New York is an expansive, global city, with varied mindsets, dynamic outlooks, driven, fast paced, open minds, understanding of vast backgrounds. They may be cautious due to their vastness; negativity is the baseline of humanity. Hope attempts to counter that for all, worldwide. You will learn.

Yeah that's not true. I've lived in NY 17 out of 32 years of life and I can say that bklyn doesn't represent NY properly.
He's just this board's version of Eeyore.

Eeyore actually had something to complain about. Nobody is pulling Josh Lambo's tail off.
Just go away. You completely ruin my experience here.

Why don't you use the very handy ignore feature?
If he makes most everything from 40 under, I'll take it at this point. I liked Myers, feel bad for him, hope he gets another job somewhere. Are kickoff specialists still a thing?

He was sucking on kickoffs the Rams week, that's why we gave up the TD at the beginning

How can you be a Jaguars fan and want the team to fire Doug Marrone? He is the coach we need to get back to the playoffs and it seems everyone knows it now.

We had to cut Jason Myers because he sucked on scoring attempts. He usually is not a bad kickoff man.
