My critique of Caldwell is that he should have fired the chef sooner.  But I think that he still deserves a pass and an opportunity to hire a new coach before we start thinking of getting rid of him as a GM all together.

O.K., I can buy off on that.......give Caldwell another shot at a HC, but it's looking like he missed on the QB selection as well. We'll have to sit thru another 2-3 years while a new QB develops. Meanwhile, our young talent gets older and more frustrated. I don't have the silver bullet idea, just being realistic.

Giving up on Bortles is not realistic.

Still don't get why everyone is ready to throw blake to wolves already. And don't use the "we kept saying give Gabbert more time" argument. Blake has proven that he can be productive in this league. I feel like the hatred has been party fueled by how cringe worthy spacecoastjags love affair is with him.

Because people just want to be negative about everything. No matter what I say to talk them out of it they just bash me for being positive. Such is life on a Jaguars board where people think being stupid is smart.

For me it's because I saw the fool's gold that it was last year (though I really wanted to be wrong), and it frustrated me to no end that we could be sailing toward an iceberg while everyone was saying "we have our franchise qb", "the offense is fixed", etc. Well here we are a year later, unfortunately my fears proved true and we've crashed into that iceberg, and we are now YEARS from being a real contender on top of already sucking so long. Wasting more time after this year without taking aggressive corrective steps isn't an option.

It should be a good game.  Winning in arrowhead is tough.  But not impossible. Fans don't make a difference. Other then creating noise and possibly disrupting a count due to that.  Or making communications harder.  Hackett will get to show us.  If he is the right guy for the job as well.  And while still a good chance we don't win.  To be more competitive gives the fans hope.  

 

A stronger running game.  And stuff can turn around. If stack the box send Robinson Hurns and Lee deep and it will make them think twice. About doing it again.
