They usually made their career on lies, misdirection, and backroom deals. Even your king Obama was a snake. You're obsessed with Trump--admit it.

Posting about the most prominent politician in our country, perhaps the world, on a political forum is obsession?

When King Obama is the only defense you can offer for your Orange Emperor, one wonders why you even bother replying, unless your obsession is my alleged obsession.

Every President should at least try to be a role model, can you give me one example of Trump giving it a modicum of effort? Was it his speech to the Boy Scouts?

You aren't obsessed because you talk about politicians in the political forum. You're obsessed because you find dumb things about Trump to be upset about.

I used the King Obama comment because he was immune to your criticism. We barely (if ever) saw anything critical from you for 8 years. You blasted critics of his, implying they were racist for doing so, and defended him far more than most conservatives defend Trump. Most people that support Trump have already expressed their problems with him, but we're hard-pressed to find people like you freely express your criticism against Obama. That's why I said King Obama. I usually defend him when you pick weak things to be upset about, or you decide to make up an issue with something when there shouldn't be one.

Do you think Trump isn't trying to be a role model? Is that your standard? Trying

But now you're bringing up a poorly worded opinion piece that fails at being humorous while calling Trump a meanie because he called out a couple of bad politicians. If calling out politicians for what they are is bullying, then you're a bully. Obama is a bully. Everyone is a bully. Which makes my point... you wouldn't hold this standard for Obama. This is a new standard special for Trump. That's why you're obsessed.

Over/under on total whoosh count?

Is pointing out that someone is TERRIBLE at their job considered bullying in 2017?

So I'm allowed to point out how bad Trump is at his job?  I could list quite a few adjectives here where I could be one heck of a bully....

Yes, you can. We don't consider it bullying because we aren't children or whiny leftists.

Trump is not a role model for business either unless you are trying to teach a kid nothing but greed, backstabbing and cheating. The man is known for hiring smaller businesses in the construction of his hotels and casinos and then refusing to pay them. They know if they try to sue him, he's got the best lawyers and he'll tie them up in court until they run out of money and can't fight anymore. These allegations have been well chronicled over the years. Don't believe me? Google it.

Your main problem is...... you get your information from fake news sources and quote it for fact. You just told me to google something for facts. C'mon man.

I think a guy who turned a million dollar investment into billions is a good role model for business no matter how you look at it.

It's not just one news source, it's literally dozens. Are they all lying? What about the lawsuits filed against him? They are a matter of public record. Your problem is that you literally believe anything that comes out of Trumps mouth or is noted in his tweets. What is it with this guy? It's like he's the Pied Piper and his followers are the gullible children that are mesmerized into following him anywhere. He could tell you the sky is green and you would all believe him.
A little outside of realm of the current discussion but, aside from the fact that Bush 41 is now grabbing every chicks [BLEEP] at age 94, all in all, I think they have a pretty respectable family (inclusive of GHB, GWB, and Jeb .... and the 1st ladies).

Lawsuits are filed and settled every day. Some legit, some not.

He isn't the Pied Piper, nor am I gullible, but I can see past the dribble and understand his policies, if implemented, help ME.

If these global warming junkies are right, the sky just may be green one of these days.

I was going to give reasoned response to this, but you lost me when you accused me of blasting Obama critics as racist. You should really provide proof of this, or shut up about it. Your problem is you equate what you feel is my liberal leanings as being in lock step with Obama supporters, and you use a lack of criticism of Obama as proof I'm obsessed with Trump. That's a false equivalency.

My criticisms of Trump are irrelevant to my lack of criticism of Obama because they aren't based on his policies, they are personal. I don't give a rat's [BLEEP] about his policies because he doesn't give a rat's [BLEEP] about his policies beyond how they get him the attention he craves. I've disliked the man for decades, I'll continue to point out his lack of clothes to all who recognize him as Emperor.

Post 234. I already went over this once before. We can talk about it again, but it seems clear to me that you have always been under the impression that Obama's race is the reason most people don't like him. That's absurd.

As for the false equivalency, I can't disagree more. I'm saying that you hold a standard for Trump that you don't hold for Obama (and those like him), or you wouldn't be to upset over issues that hold little weight with most Americans.
Parents should be their kids role models.

If your child has to look elsewhere... you're probably not doing a good job.

My mother, god bless her, she's one of the few people that always did it (and does it) right no matter her circumstances.
I like to think she's why I'm the little bit of good I am now lol

You keep overlooking one thing...I never said "most" Obama detractors didn't like him simply because he's black. I never claimed it was anywhere close to a majority. What I did say was I've heard enough people say it, and enough legitimate reporting, to believe it isn't an insignificant number. If you think that's an absurd possibility, I don't know what to tell you. I lived through school desegregation, witnessed the push-back from southern whites to civil rights protests, heard the N-word used openly well into the 21st century. I don't think every kid I grew up with in Orange Park has changed their attitudes once reaching adulthood any more than I think the co-worker, who would later be elected to a prominent political position in Duval county, who said of an interracial couple "I'll never get used to that [BLEEP]" had reached a different level of enlightenment before his death. In my home county, 98.33% white, I've personally heard enough to know there are plenty of folks who would never accept a black president.

Yes, to say every critic of Obama is racist would be absurd, but it's no less absurd than saying Obama's race wasn't a problem for a significant number of Americans.

It's a false equivalency because my criticisms of Trump are about his character and behavior. His policies are irrelevant to my criticisms. Now, you may have differing opinions regarding Obama's character and behavior, feel free to rebut, but to me there is no comparison. My dislike of Trump is personal, not political.

Again, I'm not bothered by Trump, I've come to accept him for who and what he is, a slug. Nothing he does surprises me, I just find the general acceptance of his openly boorish behavior and willful ignorance disheartening.

Anyone living with an elderly male with any sort of dementia knows Bush's behavior, while not acceptable, is not uncommon. Restraint of such urges is one of the first things to go. It's not funny, it's sad.

I agree, but this does not excuse persons in roles of leadership from behaving like children. Just because one shouldn't necessarily be considered a role model doesn't mean one should be excused for not at least trying to be a good role model, especially the POTUS.

They can at least try to behave like a rational adult. We're not even getting an honest effort, in that regard.

A rational politician?  Laughing And one that behaves responsibly? I don't expect that will ever happen, but it's a nice dream. I don't know when the tide turned that made our politicians the greedy bastards they are now but I imagine our forefathers are spinning in their graves.
