Live in Oklahoma. We try to go to a game once a year. Went to Saints game last year, wasn't great for any of us. But my 7yr (at the time) took it pretty hard.

So I am looking for some Kool-Aid to make me think we have a chance since we are heading to KC in a few hours.

Anybody think we got this???? Btw the way I will be wearing my foam Jaguar right behind the bench.

Man, as a fan. I can't do that to you. There is no more kool-aid for this team. That pitcher is dried the hell out. More power to you and your boy. Just promise to take him out for a burger and shake win or lose or something like that. I just can't lie anymore.

Saying there is nothing good left to say about the team is a lie.

I agree, both the punter and kicker are having good seasons.

Maybe if you focus on that it won't be so bad.
..

In all seriousness what I would try and do is focus on individual performances more than the "team" - Allen Hurns, Telvin Smith, Jalen Ramsey, stuff like that.  Talk about how those players are developing into playmakers for the future.

If you just look at the team performance, you'll end up as disappointed as everyone else on here.  But, Hurns typically makes one tough catch in traffic a game, Telvin is fast and improving, Ramsey is going to develop into a shutdown corner.  Those are the things the team can build on.

Even Jason Myers is vastly improved from last year.

Yeah, wish there was more positive to focus on.  Hopes were so high this year, but you never know what will happen.  Maybe Foles gets hurts in the 1st quarter and the Chiefs have to play their 3rd string QB? That could give the Jags a chance to keep it close or something and make it competitive.

And that kicker is someone we all wanted to be cut in preseason because he was bad last year. Same story with one of our wide receivers who could not stay healthy. Guess who the leading receiver on our team now is?

Of course we don't want to hope for a Nick Foles injury. Everybody would be saying, "But we beat a third string QB," if that happened. I know because we were saying stuff like that last year.

Jalen Ramsey has already shown the potential to be a shutdown corner while playing against #1 receivers. He forced Derek Carr to throw away from him, limiting Amari Cooper to one catch.

Jason Myers is my midsesason pick for Most Improved Player. Perfect on PATs only one missed FG try IIRC.

When Allen Hurns makes a great catch, we need to focus on the other end as well because he can't do it without Blake Bortles throwing the ball correctly.

Really? Because in sports the last time I checked you are what your record says you are. And 14 - 41 isn't good now is it champ?
Any given Sunday my man

There is no reason for anyone to believe "you are what your record says you are." That is just crap. If you believe that, you know nothing about the 2016 Browns.

You're delusional. And don't compare a 2016 Browns team under new coaching and management with a washed up first string QB on IR, a washed up journeyman at best as the back up and a rookie starting tomorrow as the third option. You can't compare this monstrosity of a football team over the last four years to their situation. I guess when Bill Parcells coined that phrase he was just full of crap too right? Look, you're what your record says you are. Period. You can take it or leave it.

People who think numbers without context are delusional. A team's record is just that - numbers. Why does anybody think how we win or lose is irrelevant? Why does anybody think who defeated or lost to makes no difference?

Somehow the Jaguars have broken this simple rule.
It's good that your 7 year old learns about disappointment early in his/her life.  Don't want to become one of these "entitled" kids that grew up as a Pats fan and thinks the football season naturally extends into January every year.

You should see the punter quite often tomorrow.

On the positive side the game should be over at half time, which would give you time to get back home and enjoy the rest of the day.
When you're a Jaguar fan... it doesn't matter who you're playing.. it just matters whats on the grill.
