Does anyone know why Tony Brackens doesn't attend Jags alumni week?
Many former players and usually players that have made a significant impact on the organisation attend.
Just curious if there is a reason why out there?
He owns a ranch in Texas with his family. Plus he doesn't owe anything to the Jags.
Still the sack leader

He never cared about football. Classic example of someone just in it for the money that probably could have been a truly great player if he really cared about to be. Instead he was just great for a Jaguar.

What does not having to "owe" the jags anything have to do with attending a single game?

Interesting. Is there more examples of him not caring? I heard Boselli on a radio show kind of mentioned something similar a few weeks ago.

Every day since he retired to his ranch are your examples.
He is not a fan of Skynyrd
Think he just wants to live a quiet/normal life now. It's actually refreshing.

I never saw that in him at all. In his brief prime he was a terrific NFL defensive player. He was forced into retirement due to injury concerns.
He doesn't attend bc he doesn't want to. It doesn't need to be explained.

I never thought Tony Brackens was just playing for money, but he was the team's first-ever veteran holdout when we slapped the franchise tag on him.

Yeah. I'm with you. I'm not understanding this "Brackens didn't care about football" narrative. He sure played like he did.
Every player has their own personality. Brackens has moved on and is seemingly happy in his next phase of life. No big deal.
Most athletes don't know what to do after they can't play anymore.
Brackens knew exactly what he wanted and he loves it. Can't fault him for that.
