Quote:We'd be 9-7 and would have won against some really good teams. Possibly could win the division there too. If we win 7 of 9, Gus will be back, and some here might even start to be OK with it
At the end of the day, the one thing you can count on with a Bradley coached team is that they're never going to live up to even minimal expectations. They're not getting to 9 wins. They'll be lucky to crack last years win total at the rate things are going.
I wouldn't worry about that.
Quote:Even if we magically get to 9 - 7 I'd still want Gus fired.
this is how I feel. I was done with gus at the end of last season.
Of course he stays if we end up 9-7. It would mean we have at least a three game winning streak. Also, looking at the teams we'd be beating you'd be mad to sack Gus.
If he manages to pull it all together, it would be
Quote:Wow. Your wonderlic would be even lower.
Are there negative scores? That would be pretty fitting for you.
I'm actually surprised at the quality of the OP considering some of the other drunken gems homeboys been tossing up in the last few days.
This made me realize how deluded our fans STILL are.
At this point our only hope of a win is Tennessee at home, Indy maybe. 4-12 is the best I see.
Hypotheticals are fun.
Hypothetical: Jags trade entire roster and coaching staff to Patriots for their roster and coaching staff. Do you approve?
If the Jaguars win 6 more games, that means they'll have achieved a non-losing record on the cusp of contention within the division with their arrow pointed straight up. So, no need for 7 wins ... 6 wins and Gus is safe.
It gets tricky if he merely wins 5...
only 4 and he better be fired.
And people think Bortles is dumb?
Jags are going to win out the season. Bank on it.
I'm no longer a negative nelly, I'm back on the Gus bus!!! Whooo hoooo!
We believe in Victory!!
Why else would Shad Khan keep Gus around if Gus wasn't going to lead this team to the playoffs? Khan isn't trying to con us, is he??? (yes - pun intended).
Quick, somebody get navyjag to the hospital...he's having a breakdown.
Of all the crazy, improbable, unbelievable, miraculous, odds defying, unreal, inconceivable, unimaginable, implausible, outlandish, preposterous and incredibly impossible 2nd half of NFL teams seasons, this has absolutely no chance to become one of them.

I usually like to look at the season in quarters.
1st Quarter record is 1-3.
2nd Quarter record is likely 1-3
3rd Quarter opponents
Texans - Questionable. While they have the better record, they really haven't beaten a "good" team.
@ Lions - Loss - Detroit is a good football team, one of those "better than their record" type of teams.
@ Bills - Loss - Dangerous team playing some really good football.
Broncos - Loss - Not much more needs to be said about this team.
So potentially the 3rd quarter goes 1-3.
4th Quarter opponents
Vikings - Questionable - The Vikings are bit hard with the injury bug.
@ Texans - Questionable - I lean more towards a loss here since the Texans are likely playing for the AFCS Championship at this point.
Titans - Questionable - I lean more towards a victory after the last debacle.
@ Colts - Questionable - The Colts are actually worse than the Jaguars, even though current standings don't reflect that.

Yeah, 3-13 looking about right.

I usually look at the season like this.
Updated ..... if we win 7 of last 8 games ......
