25-30k of which are college students.

And the rest don't WANT to live there, they work at the university and HAVE to live there.

I agree.  The actual town of Gainesville and surrounding area is pretty much a dump with the locals still styling their jean shorts.

I agree.  The actual town of Gainesville and surrounding area is pretty much a dump with the locals still styling their jean shorts.

It’s florida, you just described 3/4 of the state.

Indeed. I'm not much of a Gainesville person really... 
but jorts are a terrible fashion statement in much of the south, not limited to south central FL lol

But if someone doesn't want to be somewhere, they can move... Not everyone is looking for the awesome towns with lots to do lol

LOL .... at least Dan Mullen will feel like he's moving to a fashion metropolis given the fact that he's leaving Starkville, MS
