OK..... just finished Walking Dead Season 1 ---- the CDC just blew up and they are on their way to a new location.
Question 1 : Are Seasons 2-7 more of the same but just adding/deleting characters and storylines while killing zombies or are the twists worth continuing.
Question 2: Would you recommend switching over to Breaking Bad --- I never watched this show but it seems to get more favorable reviews when comparing to The Walking Dead. I'm ok with Walking Dead but it's a little slow so i'm curious but not hooked.

Breaking Bad is in a class by itself.
One that's miles above TWD.
TWD bogs down here and there, but it gets good again. I just watched season six and was entertained.
Definitely start Breaking Bad regardless of any other choices, though. It might be the best television show ever produced.
Whatever you do with the rest of your life's entertainment minutes, make sure you watch Breaking Bad.
BB is miles ahead of TWD in pretty much every aspect. TWD is a show that you keep watching almost out of routine but not because it's consistently good
I would highly encourage TWD fans to pick up the comic series. I bought it in compendium form (three volumes.)
There's so much material out, and most of it the TV series has caught up with (so it won't spoil anything upcoming until you get deep into the third compendium.)
I love the show, but there's so much about the source material that's even better in ways.

The story to TWD is the people, not the zombies.
So what you see is how people are changed, for better or worse, as their inner most "selves" bubble to the surface as the adapt to the new world.
The show is about the way people change, and how they interact with each other - both inside and outside the survival/support groups they form and/or join.

Regarding the above, I started seeing a little of the change in characters but given the fact that i only made it through Season 1, it wasn't too deeply entrenched in changes (yet). I'll throw it on from time to time but have ~ 78 episodes to go so i'll switch over to something more captivating -- which is consistent with a lot of the forums I read via google (comparing BB with TWD).
I'm on Season 2 mostly because of the characters and how they've evolved. Pretty entertaining.
Yeah definitely watch Breaking Bad, then come back to TWD. Breaking Bad is one of the best television series of all-time.

A note about BB - for me it started a bit slow. I had considered stopping. But there's an event near the end of season 2 IIRC that hooked me.
I won't overstate how good BB is, because I was skeptical myself at first. Get past season 2 and into 3 and you'll be rewarded.

I've wondered about this, as I don't want any spoilers. For example, I enjoyed the suspense of this season's premiere so much, due to having no real idea who was going to get Lucilled. My friend, who has read the graphic novels, traveled to the studio sets in Atlanta and is all about TWD social media discussion groups, wrote her prediction on a piece of paper I refused to read, and she nailed it. That would have ruined it for me.
Have you, or any others, read any of the graphic novels on a Kindle? They are black and white, so the color shouldn't be an issue, I'm wondering if it's presented pane by pane or 4 to a page. Some fonts can get too small for comfortable reading, but if you zoom in I'm worried you may not get the full impact of the graphics.

I haven't read on Kindle, but let me talk about spoilers a bit.
Personally, I was not spoiled by the comic. In fact, I was so engrossed in it I couldn't stop when I caught up with events in the show. I had to continue.
It was not to my detriment. Reading ahead didn't spoil things for me. In some ways, it's enhanced by TV experience.
Example... in the comic only Glenn got the sledge o matic. The season opener wasn't spoiled at all. It was still outstanding and over the top to me. Judging with the things I've "known" and how they've developed them into the show, I believe they build this into the production. They are keenly aware of the comic fans and pay a lot of attention to "get right" the things they are anticipating and know will happen. IMO they've done a great job in thinking out "how" they do it to satisfy both those who have and have not read the source material.
Walking Dead is goid. Breaking Bad is simply great.

I didn't think BB could live up to the hype. I started watching it right as the series concluded and the praise was everywhere. My wife and I were major skeptics. We were not disappointed at all. Well worth my time.
BB took a few tries for us to get into. If you can get to episode 3 or 4, it really picks up.
If after that, you haven't seen Dexter, I'd highly recommend it.
