He wasn't a DNP earlier this week though right? A downgrade on Friday is usually a harbinger. I am expecting to have to start Ivory in fantasy now =/
I mentioned this right after the Chargers game I def don't expect him to play in the conditions facing this game. Unfortunately this is going to linger all year long and there is nothing that can be done right now. Couple in the fact that he saying in his interview this week that he isn't looking forward to cold weather game at all and that he has never played in one... I think that makes the decision easier for the coaches. He is going to have to get used to it for playoff football.
Ivory is playing better this year than his play last season. Give 4net the rest to heal.
Team Killer we outscore 50-7 without him, and Bortles playes better than Aaron Rodgers.

Well, when Fournette came back, it seemed that they were reluctant to let Bortles loose. Their game plan is undoubtedly focused around Fournette, and it seems they're too slow to adjust with him in the backfield. Hopefully they change that, but I think when he isn't back there, they're quicker to balance the offense.

Of course they were reluctant to let Bortles loose Vs the chargers. They have the best pass rush pair in the league and we were down a few linemen. That would've been the plan from the start whether we had Fournette or not.

Once it was clear we couldn't run we attacked Bradley's defense the right way and had good success.

Reluctant to let Bortles loose? He had 51 pass attempts. If that’s reluctant I’d hate to see what isn’t
Fournette when healthy is a great player. Our offense without him looks very good though for some reason. I say we rest him and hope our line is good enough that Ivory/Yeldon can bring home the W.

That's what I'm saying. People are saying we changed the offense with Fournette out. When in reality plan A Vs the chargers was always going to be run the ball as much as possible. Once it was clear that wasn't happening and we had to chase the game we passed much more.
Hmmm, me wonders if the Fournette game suspension was a ruse to let his ankle heal.

I was thinking the same thing.
Ummm guess the world will never know.

my god, parnell and omameh out again.... if we are also out fournette.. idk I know we keep winning but at some point this is going to start hurting us

I got a bad feeling, almost would have rather the browns won last week to get it out of the way.. this game is once again going to come down to our defense needing to make a score of their own

Those 2 games are a little misleading. Yes, it was a 50-7 outscoring. But, we're leaving out the special teams score.

And, we're not looking much at the back side of that. Those games were against the freaking Colts and Brngals. The Jags defense absolutely destroyed both of those teams (7 points allowed in 2 games). Plus, the Colts and Bengals defenses were entirely gassed, due to the fact that their respective offenses could not stay on the field more than 3 plays just about every possession. TOP was completely lopsided in those games due to the stellar (elite) performance of the Jags D those games.

Yes, the offense looked good for 2 or 3 drives those games. But the defense is what dominated them.

I'd bet that the injury made it a much easier decision for Marrone to go ahead and suspend him for the (alleged) repeated tardiness.
Might as well hold out Fournette because with the offensive line banged up he's going to look like trash like last week. Between injuries and his inability to create something from nothing like majority of running backs, I'm worried about him tbh.

Nah, why would they even consider that? Why would they expose the player to the embarrassment, media questions and public scorn in lieu of just saying the ankle is still bad. Does not make any sense IMO.
Let Ivory and Yeldon bang it out this week. Grant can be a change of pace back. These three have proven that they can make it work, if used creatively and wisely.

With the Oline being what it is, I think it'd be safer to NOT let him play, even if he really wants to. No point in trying to kill his ankle and have him completely unavailable should this team find itself in a wild card matchup

I wouldn't see the point of that.  Why not just say he's injured and his ankle needs to heal?

Edit: Sorry, someone already said that. Never mind.
Ian Rapoport reports Fournette will be active today.
