We just need to get healthy again, get our O line back and get our recievers back (those we can)
Bortles is capable of great games, I hope he saves them for the playoffs. Because we are going there. Game manager the [BLEEP] out of the rest of the regular season I dont care, we are getting more wins either way.

Our offence does enough, and thats enough.
The NY headquarters reviews have certainly been head beaters! I’m not concerned with offensive ability as much as the poor play calling. Honestly, we weren’t playing to win today, just trying not to lose. Happy with the win but was uncomfortable from snap one.
Offensive line needs to get healthy. If we get Parnell back and we continue to struggle I will be worried. We have played 2 pretty solid defenses the last 2 weeks. l think we are going to see us win a lot more games like we did today. Lethargic offense, but a world class defense winning us games.

Now that we're able to stop the run, yes, I can trust the defense to win games for us going forward.
Our offense can be bad enough at times that every game could be a challenge. If our offense plays well, we can beat anybody. If our offense plays poorly, there isnt a game that isn't in question.
New Fan
chose the Jags to root for this year after the Owner Bolted to Los Angeles.
(how great was that Jags win over the Bolts? Excellent!)
Moved from SD to South Carolina.
anyway-
yeah Schedule looks good, need to play some hard hitting teams-builds strength and Character down the road.
One game at Time  - win them.

one thing I don't get is why no Jaguar games in Myrtle Beach?
they are the closest AFC Affiliate
its all Steelers TV here for every AFC Game- and there are NFL area coverage TV rules
I would think Jags then Titans first then some outside the area games
Not familiar with the JJ ownership but they should be insisting on TV Rules claiming this area for the AFC coverage.
I get the NFC Coverage as that is another channel and the Panthers are just a bit closer -

anyway if you ever move don't chose a place that has no NFL team - it sucks

Weather was crap.  They went on the road and beat a team they should have.  Time for hand wringing?

Nope. You’ve known me for awhile FBT I’ve been positive before  Smile Banana

That said, I’m asking for thoughts and concerns on the offense. What can be done to help them be more consistent? Defense deserves the help. They’ve more than done their part.

The offense is what it is.  They need to get healthy on the line.  Once they do, there should be enough opportunity there for them to improve, but as of last week, even with their inconsistencies, the offense is actually rated right where you'd want to have it for a team with a lights-out defense.  The team doesn't need them to blow it up, but to avoid mistakes that put the defense on the field for too long.  Marrone wants an offense that pounds the ball, and they've got the top rated rushing offense in the league.  As long as Bortles keeps the mistakes to a minimum, the team will be fine.
It's funny. I was listening to the radio this afternoon, and the host says, "There are some concerns with this team." And I'm thinking, yes, there are some concerns, no doubt about it. We're concerned we might lose a game. But in previous years, the concern was that we might never win a game. It's a whole different level of concern, folks.

So, the question, do I feel nervous about the remaining schedule? I suppose I do, in a way. But in a good way.
I feel pretty confident about getting into the playoffs. It's when the playoffs start, that I get nervous about our one glaring weakness.

The difference between now and the past, say, 4-5 years is that the concerns are over winning and losing the rest of the way.  By this time in years past, we were talking about who we'd be picking in the draft in the top 5.
Tons of scenarios for the Jags to get to the playoffs, but the most obvious goal should be to win each week and handle division games. The others, to stay ahead of the tacks and hope the Steelers stumble so we can get that #2 seed.
I don't see us winning out, but I do see us taking the division. We have 3 more divisional games left, Colts and Texans at Home and the Titans on the road. I feel we can handle all 3 of them. Divisional games are the most important at this point. Wildcard, #3, #2 seed doesn't matter to me, just as long as we're in the playoffs for the first time in years.
I'm not worried at all now. The jags are not the same team they were. look at game yesterday, old jags would've lost that game with the terrbille refs. not 1 pently called on browns. guss what!!!! Todays jags said ok well get a gw to,and score. thats what they did. of course there is always room for improvement even on a strong defense.
