Gators need to seriously recruit a 5, 4 star QB.

They already have. Felipe Franks is a true freshman who they're redshirting along with Kyle Trask. Trask was I believe a 2 star recruit but it was a false ranking and I don't remember why, but he was looking better in spring than Franks. They were talking very highly of Trask. 

 

Trask should have been starting but Del Rio and Appleby transferred and were the ones battling for the starting job with Franks and Trask planning to be redshirted the entire time. They have a good QB waiting to play, it just won't happen until next season. That's one reason I hate college football. The best player should play period. Seniority shouldn't mean anything especially with it being their first year starting.

Sucks knowing if Grier never transferred he'd be the starter right now and we'd probably be the obvious choice to win the East AND have a shot at taking out Alabama.

Yup

Apparently Franks has improved quite a bit since the spring and is now 3rd behind Appleby in the depth chart. 

 

Also interestingly enough BOTH Franks and Trask are dressing for each game so apparently it must be a real possibility either one of them could be put in at some point since we know already neither Del Rio nor Appleby are the answer.

It's too late now. Down by 3 scores with the offense being shut out all game gives me no hope of any comeback.

Oh I know, I turned the game off, I was just doing some reading up on both of them as it's been a little bit since I've checked. I still don't think they'll burn either redshirt this season, but if you have two of them redshirted then what in the hell does it hurt to burn one of them? 

Why are people acting like LDR is the only Gator playing bad? Changing QBs would have no effect on the defense struggling to tackle everybody.

It's almost inexcusable for a program like Florida to be trotting out a QB like LDR.

Yeah I know, I'd rather have a good QB and have to hear about his basketcase father all the time than this crap. Grier has been the only at least average QB we've had since Tebow.

He left because Coach Mac wouldn't promise him the starting job when he got off of suspension. Probably regretting that decision right around now.
