Wow. Patriots trade Jamie Collins to the Browns for a 3rd pick. That came out of the blue.

That's shocking. I wonder why the Patriots would trade Jamie Collins with their team arguably the Super Bowl winning favorite?

One thing I'm near certain of, recently acquired LB Kyle Van Noy is NOT a viable replacement for Collins.
Some of the moves the patriots make seem completely ridiculous and yet they still win.

Sources are saying its because Collins made eye contact with Belichick.

also, Collins is now on suicide watch.

Because he will be a Restricted Free Agent next year.

They had to pay Collins or Hightower at the end of the year and Hightower is more valuable to them. Also they get likely the #1 pick in the third instead of the compensatory pick they'd get if Collins left via FA. Still an odd move but history has thought us not to question the Dark Lord.
Wow.

Poor Collins. He went from a superbowl contending season to out of the playoffs in the blink of an eye.
Poor guy

Even with future contract factors, Tom Brady's window would seem relatively limited based on him being 39 years old. Being that there's no other team in the AFC that currently looks like a serious threat to the Patriots, it seems very risky from a player ability standpoint to trade a player of Jamie Collins caliber.

According to the following, the Patriots will receive a 3rd Round Compensatory pick from the Browns for Jamie Collins.

The reported price is a compensatory third-round pick. Next year’s draft is the first in which compensatory picks can be traded.

Though Bill Belichick's track record is difficult to question, it still doesn't change how surprising this trade is on this end.
God forbid Dave makes a move like this.
When the Patriots franchise finally has their "O'Doyle Rules" moment, it is going to be glorious. They literally have fans who don't even know what losing is.

It's amazing how things have changed for the Patriots. In the early 1990's, this franchise was at rock bottom. The Patriots were by far 4th on the list of popularity of Boston area professional sports franchises. To the extent that the team only sold around 19,000 season tickets. The Patriots almost moved to St. Louis. Even before the 1990's, it felt like the Patriots were a step child compared to the Red Sox, Celtics, and Bruins from the standpoint of the typical Boston area sports fan. Maybe it was due to them being in Foxboro, which is closer to Providence, R.I. than to Boston. But everything started to change once Bill Parcells turned the team around.

Oh you want money like Miller?

*picks up phone*

Hey, Hue. I have an offer for you.
This franchise has big balls. Trade away one of their best defensive player because he will ask for too much money.

Hey Khan ? Did you see that ?

Is this true?
Belichick doesn't care about anyone's contract demands. And Pats fans are mad lol.

NFL: LB Jamie Collins was asking for "Von Miller money" in extension talks with Patriots, source tells Adam Scheftervia @ESPN App http://es.pn/app
Yep. Look like he turned down a $11 millions offer from the Pats. Wants more, like Von Miller.
