Got to say I’m still a little surprised a majority think Bortles is the biggest worry. He goes as the O-line and playcalling go. Want to know the commonality between top teir QBs? An O-line that protects just good enough, but most importantly, they are in a system that they know intimately and plays to their strengths. You know, play calling. We’ve seen what kind of games occur with good, balanced playcalling that plays to Bortles strengths...blow outs!
Playcalling is my #1 concern. Hackett tends to outsmart himself sometimes. In addition, when his play-it-safe self comes out it just crushes the offensive rhythm. Last two games we went right back to running on 1st and 2nd, passing on 3rd...every series! The Jags are much better when mixing up run/pass and not allowing the opposing defense to key in on the obvious run. Fournette is in...running 100%. Ivory is in...could be run or pass. You get the point.
