We hate them too so good riddance.  They stink
Quote:Rail thin is like a starving child, the kid is 6'1 209lbs. You don't want him to get slow and built like a LB.

ESPN has him listed as 6'2" 204 lbs and so does some other sites I looked at. When I watched him play against Central Michigan he looked great, but his lower body looked like twigs. I just don't see a frame like that holding up for an entire NFL season.
That moment you realize the jags are in for another failed rebuild.

Quote:Can't wait for Lamar Jackson in 2 years. Spacecoast thinks he's a slot WR, so he will probably be an all pro QB.

Bortles could maybe bulk up 15 pounds and be our starting LG next year.

Jackson is even skinnier than Zach Terrell. Jackson is 6'3" 205 lbs. He's built like a tall CB. There is no way a guy with a build like that and who runs as much as he does, can physically hold up in the NFL at QB, especially behind our O-Line.

Ah, I was looking at his upper body. Yeah, his legs would snap behind this OLine. No chance he stays healthy under center in Jacksonville, guess we'll just have to tank with Bortles until Lamar Jackson is available and hopefully bulk him up.

This is actually a terrible situation to be in. Any QB we bring in will die behind this line, so we're almost lucky to have beer belly Bortles as our QB. We'll just have to upgrade our offensive line this off season, and draft a stud QB in 2018 - unless Bortles can improve with a competent coaching staff before then.

I know this isn't an ideal situation, but we have to build up this O-Line and have a power running game in place before we should even think of replacing a QB. No QB can succeed when we have turnstiles on the O-Line and a completely non-existant running game. It is a terrible situation.

Feel free to start it if you feel it is needed.
Maybe we should give Brandon Allen a look. What do we have to lose?

Wow. If I'm the coach, he's sitting out for awhile to clear his mind.

On the Spacecoast, somewhere, in some corner lies a small man child in the fetal position sobbing.
Wow, does he need to see a shrink, sounds like he needs time off.
Could be anyone with eyes.

Josh Freeman 2.0.
Maybe he is....... maybe he isn't. One thing is for sure and it DOES effect Bortles bottom line numbers as a QB. The offensive running game has all but thrown in the towel. I'm starting to think Maybe Toby Gerhart wasn't nearly as bad as some thought he was. Regardless, he's gone and now is now. Ivory and TJ (collectively) have been dis-appointing to say the least. These two RB's clearly have some talent so why are NEITHER of them putting up "average numbers" let alone decent or big ones? Ivory got PAID a boatload to sign which makes in retrospect maybe keeping Gerhart and his money might have been a bargain considering what Ivory's produced. Yeldon has been pretty much a yawn and cause for people to run off for a bathroom break or grab a beer when he's in.

The running game is dismal and the logical tells me the OL is still as disaster. This forces the Offense to go into stealth "throw the ball mode". That can't help but pad Bortle's numbers if it keeps at this pace. But, since he also likes to throw to the opposing defenses, the INT's are going to add up too. Already they are substantial.

While I have NEVER considered Bortle's the "franchise player" others tout him to be, I also don't think he should be the goat on the team when they lose although some lost games are on him. But the wins could be on him too. At some point, this has to fall on coaching. They seemingly have replaced every coach so far but the head guy. Replacing all the others have not resulted in the fix this team answer. Maybe it's time to part ways with Bradley. he is NOT EVEN CLOSE to winning .500 % of his games while in Jag land.

On paper, there was much promise. On the field, it's been same o same o.

Blake throws the ugliest ball I've ever seen.
He needs to be benched asap.
Lol, so spacecoast is friends with the scouts, the Polians, and NOW he also knows what Blakes agent wants. Rofl. Good stuff.

Oh yeah, Bortles sucks. I regret being fooled into buying his jersey.
