Yep. It's actually pretty hilarious if you step back and look at it from a distance.

The locker room is toxic right now.

It is.

I am a sucker and stayed up last night and watched the game. Going to bed as it ended.

And then I get to wake to the news that Khan says the coach is staying.

it was like the team let us, as fans, get beat up all night. And then as we wake up, punch us in the face for good measure.

So did I, but purely from a BB5 fantasy football perspective. FF is the only thing that makes me care about football now.

It's going to ruin both the development of player talent & mental development if they continue with this losing and undisciplined culture.

Didn't he just recently talk about the definition of insanity?  Actions vs Words is an issue with this organization

This along with Khan talking about accountability, all lip service

As much as I don't want the PLAYERS to be toxic and lose faith, you gotta wonder how it'd be possible for them to not be in that state of mind right now. Especially someone like Telvin who literally gives it his all and is all over the field win or lose.

exacty, Bills fired their OC just to send a message and that turned them around, but we are just gonna ride this sinking ship

TBH I couldn't believe they fired the OC, they scored a ton of points that game the day before. But regardless if it worked then it did, whereas we just do nothing but sit idly by and let the players and fans get so fed up with it they just want to say [BLEEP] it.

I turned it off after the third quarter. Did the same thing during the Chargers game. Usually even if a game is bad I don't think about doing that.

The news about keeping our coaching staff intact was reported minutes after it ended.

What....  You missed the parts that you could point to next week as proof we have an offense.

That's the bad part.....he's a talented player and trying. He could easily get hurt playing these meaningless games run by clowns, on a team going now where but down.

Then where would guys like him be?

That's why most of them are just going through the motions.

It becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy.

If gus really cared about this team he'd just resign and admit he's just not cut out to be a head coach. I realize he would lose the balance of his contract and he should just let it go. He's taken enough of Khan's money.

I know. It sucks that by the time our offense starts being consistent in a good way, we have no chance of winning .

I already said many times we have the right players and that is what makes an offense good. Coaches are not the offense. The players are. And we have talented players.
Only good when the other teams take their foot off the gas.....aka...garbage time.

That isn't a good team.....

Rex Ryan is not afraid of trying new things or the "unknown" he feels it would better than the status quo.

This coaching staff and Khan to some extent seem to be the exact opposite. They are super cautious and are afraid of major change because it could be worse. That is why it takes Gus so longer to fire coordinators. That is why the staff is so poor in half-time adjustments or the total lack of week-to-week game plans. That is why Khan took a season of Mularkey and Gabbert instead of just cleaning house when he first got the team. That is why Khan has been so slow to pull the trigger on Gus now.

Caldwell isn't much better, but honestly he has been more of risk taker by far with convincing Khan to do a full rebuild, not signing D. Smith, trading Monroe, trading Scobee, etc. He is still is very calculated in those moves, but seems at least willing to not just go with the flow.

I'm just hoping we get a Caldwell or Khan "vote of confidence" for Gus soon. If we do, he will be for sure gone at the end of the season.
