Quote:Maybe everyone should protest outside Everbank. Thats all you can do really.
All that would do is make us look like the worst sports fans on Earth.

Hardly.
A couple thousand fans protesting the retention incompetent coach outside of Everbank pales in comparison to Bottlegate.
Quote:Idiotic thread.
Nope. Everyone is saying now what I've been saying. Basically insulting the fans.
What would be "nice" is a fan appreciation event. Have the players go sign autographs after practices, say how much they appreciate the fans showing up despite the poor performances on the field, do things to get the players/coaches/owner involved with the fans. Offer up some kind of "raffle" where some lucky fan gets to watch the game from the owners box with Shad Khan or something.
There are things the Jaguars could do that would show they "care" about how the fans have supported the team. After all, Shad has admitted the fans have done their part, surely everyone realizes the Jags themselves have not held up their end of the bargain. After another 4 year rebuild, this was "built" - and yet, here we are with another wasted season, no hopes for the playoffs, looking at a team in turmoil and another massive rebuild.
The negative comments from the players and careless tweets from Tony Khan certainly don't help matters.
It's time for the Jags organization to apologize and build some bridges instead of attacking the fan base.
Of course - I'm going to watch the games regardless. I get angry and say I won't, but I do anyway. Too old to switch allegiances to another team and I'll die of old age before the Jags go to the playoffs. But if the Jags organization wants to build that next generation of fans - they better change their strategy, because a decade of losing miserably and then calling the fans out and blaming them isn't the way you expand your fan base.
I think some of you are getting a bit carried away with this notion.
Khan and Lamping have made a number of efforts to connect the team more with fans and Khan has been very frank and (seemingly sincere) talking about bringing a championship to Jacksonville and how the fans "deserve better."
The fact that he's not going about firing his coach as quickly as you like doesn't erase all of the good will he's created.
It's his team, and he can run it the way he sees fit.
Assuming he's intentionally alienating fans is a laughable theory IMO. He's just riding out the season the way he said he would. He's doing exactly what he said he would do when he said pre-season that he wouldn't fire a coach mid-season. I don't get the shock or the drama.
He owes you no apology but I'm sure he's hating this much more than some of you apparently realize.
Talk to a Cowboys fan who has season tickets. Now that's a team that knows how to take care of their fans. She gets to dine with the team sometimes and I have a tough time just trying to get a field pass for before the game.

The Cowboys have a fantastic outreach program, not just players but also the cheerleaders as well. They have fan appreciation events regularly where fans get a chance to meet/greet the players and the like.
A local fan who has supported the team since 1995 (preferably a lifetime STH) should write a petition addressed to Shad Khan and Dave Caldwell. If that is not allowed here, email your messages to a volunteer. The purpose of this letter is to let them know we all see a much brighter future with the Jacksonville Jaguars coming soon after Gus Bradley is fired, but have little to cheer about until that happens. Let Shad know we will always remain Jaguars fans, but the demand for a new coaching staff - starting at the top this calendar year - is universal because of what we see coaches and players do every game. No insults please - just make your points in favor of firing Gus Bradley now instead of after the regular season ends. Explain to him why it would be better (in your opinion) to punt Bradley and promote Doug Marrone after the game at Kansas City.
Quote:Khan wants to move the team. Its obvious
Now, Jpeck...I'm not this bad am I?
Come on Brklyn are you being for real?
Quote:Then why would he invest so much in Jacksonville.
If you buy the 'Khan wants the Jags in London', which officially I do not yet, the idea is that he is hedging in JVille. If it works out, great. If he wants to move cause of the attendance clause he gets to say 'I did everything I could' and then gets London instantly approved.
I personally think he wants both markets. Hence why he is pushing for more London games as well. What will really prove the therory is when another team tries to move to London.
What Khan is doing right now with the Jags being 'Londons team' tho is setting himself up for a move in say 2030 when the Jags fanbase in London is quite significant. If we move I would expext it much closer to then, than 2020.
