His 2nd gear is average?  Watch that 97 yard TD, watch the TD form Sunday, watch the one handed catch against the Bengals.

Don't worry about that guy, he watches the games on the radio.

JIB, could you please just suspend me before I get into trouble here?

So are you watching the games on radio?

Nah, I actually watch them on television in your mother's bedroom. Stop getting on me because I don't see it. A lot of you also thought Cecil Shorts was the best thing since sliced bread. There's a reason he went undrafted. Its like an echo chamber in some of these threads.

1. Say something else about my mother. I dare you.

2. Cecil Shorts was a fourth round pick, [BLEEP]

There's lots of receivers that have breakaway speed but ate still below average. He's made a couple of nice grabs this year, but he's also dropped a lot of catchable balls. There's nothing wrong with him becoming a league average receiver. They have value. Can you name another team in the NFL that he would be starting on right now? Maybe the second receiver for the Giants who have their top 2 guys on IR.

My fault for the dangling modifier. When I said he went undrafyed I was talking about Cole again.

A good receiver gets open, is sure handed the majority of the time and makes difference-making/clutch plays at times.

That's exactly what this kid has done lately.  Give credit where due and just enjoy the season.

I'm enjoying the season very much, and I'm really excited about all the young talent we have. He did have a really nice catch on Sunday. I'm not insulting the kid, I just don't think he has as much upside as a lot of people in this thread due. Some comparing him to Jimmy Smith, and others saying he could be elite. To me that's just asinine at this point.
I like what I've seen from Cole so far. He looks to have another gear when he's able to catch and run. He's a long strider and doesn't look to have short area quickness but in space where he can get going he is good. Hopefully he keeps improving.

Have solved our PR job
Have solved our kicking job (hopefully lol)
Have great young depth at receiver

The only gripe I have with Lambo is his kickoffs are short way too often, and our Kick coverage makes me worry at times.

On to Cole, that catch and run was a thing of beauty, give Blake some credit, he put that pass on a rope and Cole did the rest, put the burners on and scored!

I would pump the brakes on comparisons, but if he keeps it up it will be warranted moving forward. He has great speed and runs amazing routes, Keenan Mccardell has done wonders with these young Wrs.

Imagine our 3 WR sets with Robinson, Westbrook, Cole and Lee or Hurns as our 4th. That is a stacked WR group. I feel Hurns will need to restructure or he may be a cap casualty, sham too because I like the way he plays.

He's not extraordinarily tall, but he's long...really long arms.

He's fluid in his routes...something you can't really teach.

He's FAST. He runs like Randy Moss (not saying he's as fast, but he clocked at 20mph on that TD catch).

He has good hands (think he had a crucial drop in the Tenn(?) game, but he's improved since).

He looks to be natural and he possesses qualities that many receivers won't possess.

Next step for him is to GET STRONGER/BIGGER.

I think the sky is the limit for this guy.

I like Cole. I also like Westbrook. I even like Mickens.

But I also like Hurns, and Lee, and Robinson.

There's no law that says we can't have all of these. If we make any changes to that list, I just don't know about Robinson. He's the only one who will not be under contract, and he will be very expensive.
No one takes the "next man up" mentality lightly in the NFL. It's your chance to make a name for yourself. You've worked your butt off. Go put it to practice and make a play.
Special qualities, bros

Anyone with a set of eyes could see that in the 97 yard TD
One guy in this thread can't .....
The thought of four-wide sets with A-Rob, Hurns, Westbrook and Cole next year is a wonderful thing.

Would rather Lee than Hurns at this point, but point noted.
What's the word on Lee and Hurns? Would be nice to get both back for the playoff push.
You can take any WR in the league and as long as you have a good QB, the WR will put up numbers.

Favre made Sidney Rice
Brady made Welker
Manning made Decker
Manning made Stokely
Brady made Tim Dwight

The list goes on

The thing I hate about this video is the idiot calling the game gives absolutely no credit to Cole, he just says the defender didn't make the play.

It's like Cole lit the afterburners and just took off leaving the defender in his rearview.
