So the Browns went and “Brownsed” their trade up.
But if we thing #5 has done well enough that we don’t draft a QB, how about we let Henne go and bring in McCarron?
Best man wins the starting job in camp and the loser then keeps him on his toes all season long!

The Browns offered a second and third round pick, IIRC. We're not going to offer that for a guy we're looking at as a backup. And, frankly, I'm not convinced that McCarron is any better than Bortles.
I'll wait till the season is over to rehash this nonsense. I wouldn't waste my time with the "should have" this or "could have" that or "maybe in the off-season" we do this. You're in a position where you have to focus on playoff games and not the off-season so I feel it's best my armchair GM'ing be locked in on taking care of the Titans with our current situation. Thank You.
Mayfield or Bortles in 2018.

I mean, unless Blake pulls a Flacco and goes SB MVP, if Mayfield is there at our pick we have to take him and go into next season with both right?
I am fine with signing anybody as long as it gets Henne out of here. I think him being friends with Bortles off the field has stunted his growth through osmosis.
McCarron is not the answer....pass.
Having Bortles and McCarron as your QB options in 2018 is rough.
I think the best bet is to let Bortles play on his 5th year option and draft a QB. Likely in the 2nd-4th rounds, but you never know who might be there towards the end of the 1st round.
Bortles gets another year to continue too try and prove it. We either have our back up for the next 4 years (maybe flip him for a draft pick later like the Pats always do if Bortles pans out), or we have Bortles' replacement.

This is what I think we should do as well. No to McCarron. Like o mentioned earlier, if Baker is there when we pick we gotta take him.
I'd be more than comfortable going into next season with Blake and Mayfield
I've long been intrigued by McCarron, but seeing the Browns going after him makes me think he's not any kind of an answer.
You're putting a lot of money into a guy hoping he'll be a good NFL qb. I'm going to pass.

Heck yeah
