I love Scobee. But I don't know about ring of honor. I mean if we were to fill it up by position, he's easily been our best kicker for the franchise. But he's not a "one of the best Jaguars ever". I can't put him in the same light as Tony, Fred, or Mark. I would have to say no.

Not if you add in extra points tho. Tongue

I wonder what it would have looked like if Scobee was having to kick PATs from 30 yards out all along...

I love Scobee, but he shouldn't be in the Ring.
I went to Ruth Criss in Ponte Vedra last weekend and Scobee was there. I said Hey Josh, how's it going. He said don't go in that toilet bc the blower machine is broke. He's just a cool dude.

I agree 100%. He's just a kicker and not a remarkable one at that plus the team didn't win anything when he was here.

Personally, I don't think Mark Brunell should have been there either because although he was a good guy and a very good player, he wasn't an NFL elite player at his position like the other guys.

Tom Coughlin should be in there

Hell yeah!! Should be Tom Coughlin's pride!!
This got way out of hand lol I was jokingly implying his Twitter account should get him in there.

That is classic!

I don't know if he should go in on his merits.  He IS a kicker, after all.

But that account warrants him consideration, if true.

Someone gets it lol
For the record, I don't believe the pride should be reserved for 'only' HOF level guys. Long time starters and guys who have had a great impact on the franchise are perfectly fine for me.

Leave the HOF for the HOF, the Jags pride is about guys who have made an impact here and deserve to be recognized. Cause we know they certainly aren't by anyone else.
Just...  NO.

I don't believe the intent of the OP was to be taken literally.

I say this being Josh Scobee.

Don't be smug, you're not really the blkranger.

Yeah ok. Mark Brunell took us to 2 AFC title games. He made the Pro Bowl multiple years. He won MVP in Hawaii. He threw for 4200 yards which led the NFL. Brunell was an elite Jaguar.

If I controlled who was in the Pride, being a Pro-Bowler or having a great year or two wouldn't be enough. In my opinion, you should be the best of the best, with a player or so a decade getting in there. That makes it a really special and unusual honor if you do.

On the other hand, if you throw all the random pro-bowlers we've had, where do you stop? Kevin Hardy? Rashean Mathis? MJD? Leon Searcy? Montell Owens?  Next thing you know, you have 30 players in it and people can't even remember who they all are and it's meaningless. I have to believe that's not the intent.

Jaxson DeVille goes in before Scobee

Why would I have a problem with that list? You left off Rashean Mathis as well.
Scobee was more than a serviceable K. He shouldn't be in any Pride of the Jaguars discussions.
