The Eagles got the 1 seed and the Vikings got the 2 seed. They both finished with the same record, they never played head to head. They both had same conference record.
So the next tiebreaker that allowed the Eagles to get the 1 seed was: Best won lost tied percentage in common games but it has to be a minimum of 4 games. The Eagles beat them out on that one right?
1. The Eagles played the Redskins twice and beat them both times and the Vikings only played the Redskins once but beat them. (So split right?)
2. They both played the Panthers once and the Eagles won and the Vikings lost. (So edge Eagles)
3. They both played the Rams once and they each won. (So split)
4. Then the Vikings played the Bears twice and won both but the Eagles played the Bears once and also won (So split right?)
So do they count it Eagles: 5-0 and Vikings: 4-1? Or do they count it Eagles: 4-0, Vikings: 3-1? Or do they count it as Eagles: 1 and Vikings: 0?
My question is, what would have happened if the Eagles lost one game to the Redskins but also won one against them? Or what if the Vikings lost one game to the Bears but also won one against them? What would have happened then?
