Arizona QB Carson Palmer announced his retirement today. This was no surprise at all. I could easily see the Cards entering the Kirk Cousins or Alex Smith sweepstakes.
Or they could roll with Gabbert.
Or they could use their solid draft position (15th) to move up or stand pat and probably draft a very good QB. (a move up into the top ten wouldn't cost too much and at 15, Rudolph or Mayfield could be there)
I am sure they will be drafting a QB but don't be shocked if they go after Alex Smith. A rookie could learn under him for a year or two.
They could trade us a 3rd for Bortles

A good salesman would say Bortles led a team to the playoffs, passed for 4400 yards and almost 40 TDS.

At this point in time I would be very surprised if the Jaguars would make that trade.
I think Bort is the QB for the cards game 1 of the 2018 season.

They haven't a hope of landing Kirk.
