After yesterday’s game, I wonder if it was a forced retirement?
My guess is the league gave he and his crew the assignment because they knew he was retiring. That is shady because there is no way they were graded high enough to ref a playoff game.
He was by far the most incompetent referee. I'm not sure how he kept his job all these years.
In his favor, he didn't appear to have any bias. He was equally inept for every team.
Do they publish the referee's grade? I'd imagine they don't but they should.
They'll probably put him in the NY office so he can reverse calls from there.
