Don't get me wrong...I do think the Jags have a chance, and that chance is slim to none!

When Brady goes to the hurry-up, he'll leave those tubs you have up front gasping and panting.....and there goes the vaunted Jaguar pass rush!  And don't worry about the NE wideouts.  he'll be carving you up with the RBs and TEs.  LOL   Pittsburgh's TE (What's his name?) torched the Jags for 16 catches in the 2 games....can you imagine what Gronk is going to do?

Help me out...which one of the Steelers TE scored? What wideouts do the pats have that compare to the steelers? RB? Look, the pats have some decent pieces but your advantage is Brady and quick game. That's it. Unless you are going to run a hurry up offense with RB dumpoffs all game, this isn't a good matchup for the pats. Sounds as though you should take your own advice and actually watch how this defense plays, not just snipits and box scores. If I were to just go off of the pats snipits and box scores, I would walk away thinking the pats were mediocre at best.

LOL   Man, are you in for a surprise!  Everyone thinks they can beat the Pats, until they get steamrolled.  "Be humble or be humbled"....that's my advice.   And tell that to Jalen, will ya?

The Steelers were looking straight past the Jags....had been for weeks!  You squeeked past the Bills, then barely beat a team that wasn't concerned enough with the Jags to show up for their walk thru!

Don't get too far ahead of your skis there, guy.....Pats won't be looking past the Jags.  Didn't get to 12 AFCCGs under BB by operating like the Steelers!
“Patriots”, it’s just a name. No team should be afraid of a simple word. You’re not playing the ‘name’. Ive been seeing comments here and elsewhere that have the “Jags? v. THE Patriots, haha” tone. What’s that mean? Does that mean the Patriots will win the next 5 Super Bowls until Brady retires at 45, as so he claims? Because they are the Patriots. The past games played for each team has zero bearing on the game tomorrow. The Jaguars shouldn’t even be here at this point. Why? Because they used to be bad? The Patriots will handily win this game. Why? Because they’re the Patriots? Forget the ‘enigma”. Go in there and play a game against another good team with a great coach and QB. I say “another” because that’s what I feel the Jaguars are. A great team that’s well coached with a QB that still has the opportunity to prove he too can be great. Play the game. Not the enigma.

The Jags' defence doesn't need to scheme up a plan to stop all of the Patriots' and Brady's weapons. Because they're actually really good across the board. Which is lucky, because that's what you need to stand a chance. Getting cute with schemes will get you beaten badly. Brady can't do what Roethlisberger did last week (and still lost). He's not the same sort of QB, and he doesn't have the receivers for it. So throw away your fantasies of 42 points, because unless things become totally unhinged on the defensive side of the ball, that won't happen.

Face facts; this isn't a sure thing either way. Anyone who thinks it is is either ignorant or delusional. Or getting overexcited at a fan rally after beating Pittsburgh at their home for the second time this season. As I always say, I wish the Patriots were half as foolish as their fans - then this would be an easy win for Jacksonville.

Thank you for demonstrating why fans of opposing teams hate the Patriots and their fans so much. Note to Jags fans: troll alert.

You obviously watched a different Jags-Steelers matchup than the rest of us. Take away the two spectacular Antonio Brown TD catches and you're looking at a blowout......

Take it from a Charger fan, your team actually matches up very well against the Pats. I recently read an article that compared the Jags defense to the three teams that have beaten New England in Foxboro in the playoffs. As it turns out, the Jags defense actually is better statistically than the defenses of the three teams previously mentioned.

By the way, it is possible to limit the Pats offense in Foxboro: the Chargers did it in October, allowing them one offensive TD that day. In fact, take away the 2nd quarter (the TD, 2 FG'S and a safety) and the Chargers win by limiting the Pats to 6 points.

Good post, Jags.  Not that I can agree with all of it.

For instance, I don't know anyone who believe NE will win because 'They're THE Patriots".  They should win because they are good, they are solid.  It will take a Herculean effort by the Jags D and another off the charts performance by Bortles, on the road against a perennial powerhouse and defending SB champ.  Could that happen?  Of course it's possible.  But I get the distinct feeling, as long as you want to talk about fan comments, that a lot of Jags' boosters have no real idea what their team is up against this weekend.  The Steelers' approach to your game with them last week was appalling, disrespectful and delusional.  And it showed, on the field.  They got what they deserved, especially that joke of a HC, who was talking about a rematch with NE in the [BLEEP], a full 3 weeks before their regular season matchup!  What a dope!

You're not going to get that approach from NE this week......guaranteed.
It's as simple as that.  No smugness intended, here.

Looking forward to a great game.

Aside from the occasional post, the Pats have received nothing but respect from these fans. The fans, and absolutely the players, know what they’re playing against. The same can’t be said by Pats fans.

I’m not sure how many times I’ve seen opposing fans say that our defense is overrated despite having better stats than many all-times defenses.

The offense is 6th in the NFL and Bortles hasn’t been to shabby this year. You guys clearly haven’t watched us play this year (who would blame you) because it seems pretty unanimous among you guys that you think all you have to do to win is make Bortles throw. We’re 3-0 without our starting RB.

I have no doubt that’s Belichick is prepared, but the Pats fans have overlooked this team’s capabilities and I think it may surprise you tomorrow.

There was nothing smug or incendiary about my comments.  And I certainly haven't minimized the talent on the Jaguars, though I question whether they have enough on both sides of the ball to prevail!  So why the lecture?

I gave the reasons I thought you were wrong. I wonder how you can view mine as a lecture after your post. It’s a simple response to your comment. Of the reasons you can critique the Jags, talent isn’t one of them... on either side of the ball. The more you guys post, the more it becomes clear that you haven’t watched them play.

I’m in no way confident we’ll beat you, but if we play generally mistake free, I think it should a whole lot closer than you think it’ll be.

The main argument of my post was that the Jags D is actually better than the defenses of the three teams that have beaten New England at Foxboro. Everything after "By the way..." was thrown in as a secondary point.
The main part of the secondary point was the limiting of the Pats offense to one offensive TD and how the Jags D could accomplish this task because the Charger D has already done that. The 2nd quarter reference was thrown in to further reinforce the point that the Patriot offence could be shut down at home.  So naturally you focused on the least important part of the secondary point (thereby missing the gist of the main argument) and ignored the most relevant points....
what a homer.  Sounds like he is more so trying to justify why the pats should be there when he knows everybody is tired of watching them.  Also seems like he is a little worried about the game.  Also seems like a sheep that will do whatever the majority will do.

Any reporter or commentator who complains that can't find an interesting angle on any team that makes it to the Super Bowl testifies to their own incompetence......
This jerk wrote this to stick his fat, elitist finger in our collective eyes. EVERYONE is rooting for the Jaguars. Who the HELL wants to see yet ANOTHER Super Bowl with Tom Brady? He is annoying, like the nerdy 18 year old that sold his soul to the devil to be the best QB that ever lived. We get it Tom, you're a [BLEEP], now let someone else play with the ball.....
lets forget about this article now. Gameday is here. its time to get fired up.!!!!!
