How many years has ARob put up #1 WR numbers??
Only 2015?
I can't wait to see ARob in this physical offense. He should get lots of 1 on 1 opportunities.
I wonder if Colvin would be willing to sign a team friendly deal? Not likely but still....give him something short term but a pay raise. That way he can still get a shot a free agency but stick around for another year or two.

I’m curious on how they approach Arob’s situation. I doubt they tag him. Maybe give him a 1 year deal for 9 mill. That’ll pay him like a top 15 WR and let’s him come back to the negotiating table next year. See how he does coming back from injury.

They could also approach Bortles with a contract similar to Tyrod Taylor. Something that’ll give Bortles long term security but will lessen his cap hit and still have a team out just in case he doesn’t pan out.

Ivory is probably the easiest cut. Followed by Lee (expiring contract). No way you keep Lee with the emergence of Cole and the expected development of Westbrook. Marcedes and Poz will most likely be willing to come back on team friendly short term deals. There’s nothing wrong with having veteran leadership from guys who can still produce.

Henne is most likely a goner, especially if QB competition is brought in. Btw I’m a huge Lamar Jackson fan so I’m hoping he slips in the draft. If you were a fan of Deshawn Watson coming out you will love Jackson.

I would like to bring Omameh back but I’m not sure how much he’s going to demand. I certainly wouldn’t oppose looking to upgrade both guard spots and even look to find a RT to groom to replace Parnell.

A pass catching TE needs to be a priority for this team. Especially if Bortles is in the long term plans. He’s needs a reliable safety net to look for who can get the easy first down, which will decrease his knack for making risky throws.

All in all I like the outlook of this team. Young, feisty, and has loads of talent across the board. We should have a 4 year window minimum to win a Super Bowl. Shore up a few spots and it’s game on.
Once again we are seriously underrated what Arob's market will be. If we don't give him a huge deal or franchise him, someone will. He'll demand and get something very similar to what Devante Adams just got, heck maybe more with 31 other teams being able to negotiate.

I can't believe all the questioning of ARob in this thread. The team basically needs to him to get over the hump as I'm convinced they would have won this game with him out there.

In 2016 the entire offense struggled partly because Oley was so clueless when it comes to running the ball, and they needed to run because Blake's arm was injured. Also, it wasn't just #1 WR numbers that he put up... it was top five in the league WR numbers that he was putting up.

Moreover we saw throughout the entire offseason up until his injury that ARob was far and away our best WR literally catching everything while being the focal point of their offense. ARob is a HUGE asset, and one that we need to ensure stays in Jacksonville. Without ARob you might as well kiss any SB aspirations good-bye .
ARob will most likely never complete a season without some lengthy or season ending injury for the rest of his career.

Difference being an acl tear. Has there been a WR in recent memory that is coming off major injury and inking a big money deal from his rookie deal?

But you bring up an interesting point. Maybe place the transition tag on ARob and let the market set his value. That way we can still match whatever he’s offered.

I'd like to keep Omameh... he's better than AJ Cann for sure.

The writing is on the wall for Ivory to be cut, and I totally see Marqise walking with Dede and Keelan playing so well.

Henne needs to be gone as well.

As for Colvin, I'd like to see him sign a reasonable contract as our nickel back (perhaps $9 mil per on a long-term deal), but I suspect he'll want to serious outside CB money, and that a team like the Titans is ready to give it to him. I don't see the Jaguars doing what it takes to win a bidding war for Colvin.

As for Poz and Marcedes, I can take them or leave them although I kind of hope they both stay.

As for a pass catching TE, they just might have one with Mychal Rivera coming off IR.

Nortman should be gone. Probably Mickens too.

Ivory should be gone. Need to upgrade TE so either Koyak or o'shaunnesy will be gone, my guess would be Koyak.

Positions of need for offseason: OL, TE, WR, P, backup QB.

Why Nortman? Was he that bad?

You do realize he is coming off a major injury which for a WR, normally takes one full season of action, before they regain their old form? Some receivers never do. He's not gonna get some huge deal. Davante Adams got the deal he did, because he's a similar receiver, yet he is NOT coming off an injury. Since he was hurt, Robinson's value is gonna be down.
Y'all are overrating what an ACL tear means in 2018. He's going to be coveted in FA if he hits the open market, and he'll get paid accordingly.
Bring Clay Harbor back

Has repairing them advanced? Absolutely

Likelihood of happening again? Very high for him specifically

I completely forgot about Rivera. Good call!

I agree with all of this, except I'm not sure about Jackson. Jags will have to decide whether he's worth the risk, if available, due to his size limitations. I have a feeling there will be a ton of debate on this question before draft time.

I can, just consider the sources.
Guys who won't be back:

Colvin- can't blame him.
Lewis- time to retire
Hurns- love the guy, but he's not worth the cap savings if they cut him
Lee- will get more money elsewhere. Too injury prone
Poz- unless he takes pay cut.
Omameh- will get paid more elsewhere.
Nortman- not worth the money he's paid.
Ivory- most obvious one so far.

These guys are all replaceable with less costly options. They definitely need AROB back.
Poz is probably gone, but wow, what a send off. Having never been part of a team over .500 to the AFC championship game.

I think there are too many QB needing teams for Jackson to fall as far down as 29th, the Bills will probably take him off the board if he slides that far!

Bingo. Let's also not forget this guy is only 3 months older than Westbrook.

SF or Chicago would gladly pay this man money. Jimmy G with Goodwin and Arob?

Henne should be replaced in the draft and Colvin likely gets starters money somewhere else. Undecided on Poz, but Brown should get his playing time next year.

Quite the WR dilemma. Westbrook and Cole are locks, and ARob likely gets the franchise. I'd imagine they let Lee walk and keep Hurns. Personally wouldn't mind seeing them all back, but the team barely uses 3 WR sets let alone 4/5.

Ivory is getting cut. So don't see much turnover on the roster for once lol. Aside from the bottom of course.

Trey Burton should be the top target in free agency, and maybe a starting guard, tho not sure who will be out there.

I don't want to see any of these guys go, for various reasons.

But I have to think the first three on this list are gone.  Ivory, Lee and potentially Omameh too.

In addition, Marcedes Lewis and Hurns may also not be on the roster.
