Quote:If Gus gets fired will Wash stay on as DC? Would be pretty awkward if so.
IMO, the only viable replacement for Todd Wash on a short term basis is Monte Kiffin. Would Kiffin want to be a Defensive Coordinator, even on an Interim Basis at this point of his life? That might be the key question in terms of the answer to your question.
Nope, Gus stays. Khan has has plenty of opportunities to fire Gus and hasn't so why would he chose after Ten.

Why would we need a replacement for Wash? Of all the things that's gone wrong with this team, it certainly hasn't been his unit that's been the issue (with the exception of one game)

I never said the Jaguars need a replacement for Wash. However, if it's determined by the organization's key decision makers that a change would be in the best interest of the team, Monte Kiffin would seem like the only viable alternative.

Because he is closely linked with Gus and definitely won't be here next year if Gus goes.

Would be a strange dynamic if Kiffin stepped in as he is solely here to help Gus.

True. Yet, it's the type of thing that sometimes happens when an in-season HC is needed. It's generally an unpleasant situation for a coach to lose his job during the season but sometimes it happens out of necessity.
Quote:Hasn't Khan fired managers mid-season with Fulham?
Yes. I believe he's on his 5th or 6th manager since buying the team a couple of years ago.

One question that comes to mind that I'm sure many that follow the Premier League would know is how often does a change in Managers in the Premier League typically occur?
We should fire him after the game on Thursday but I have a feeling Khan won't fire him until we are guaranteed to have a losing season, or we're eliminated from the playoffs, which in our awful division, could be late in the season.
Those tickets are already sold, Shad could give a [BLEEP] less about the product on the field. Bradley will likely stay until the end of the season...hell if he ekes out 3-4 more wins he might get to finish out his contract.
Quote:I think we play it close against Tennessee, and Gus keeps his job until Black Monday.
I think this is probably the most likely scenario.
Lynch pin games where fans think that if he loses this one he's fired tend to either wind up being wins, or at least well played. So, for anyone hoping he gets fired sooner, it's probably best to quit asking.
The soonest you MIGHT see him fired is when we get to loss #9, but even then, I'm not sure he gets the boot before the end of the season. That number would seal his fate though.
Nope. Khan is inept when it comes to managing a winning football culture. No franchise in NFL history keeps a (14-40) head coach. Only Bell was worse and he was an owner. I have zero faith in the Khan's knowing what they are doing.
If the Jags keep it competitive or win vs the Tacks, Bradley stays if not there is a possibility he will be canned being this will be a mini bye week.
At this point letting go of Bradley is to change the culture in the locker room and to get a head start on potential coaching candidates.
Nope. We're already at 40 losses. Might as well keep stock piling them.
Gus is still in the "Jack Del Rio fire all my assistants" phase of his tenure. He has a good 5 years left as HC here.
Quote:The time to fire dopey Gus was 2 seasons ago.
At the very latest he should have been fired at the end of last season. Everyone saw this coming.
If Khan was smart, he'd fire Gus Friday morning. But I'm beginning to think he's not very smart when it comes to football and running a franchise.
I'm saving money by keeping Gus. Y'all will still buy tickets. Win win.
Signed,
Shahid
I think he would be fired if they lose badly. I would fire him win/ lose/ draw at this point and take advantage of the long week with the new coach. However, the idea of firing a coach after a win may be rough on the players.
