I saw we had a meeting with him at the senior bowl and we are expected to meet with him again in the near future. What an interesting prospect! For those not familiar with his story I recommend you do some research. Here’s a good start:

I can certainly see him becoming the eventual replacement/upgrade for Poz one handed or not.
Big fan.

Telvin-Jack-Shaq would be an amazing group of LBs. Griffin is also a really good pass rusher so you can blitz him and play him on the edge in some packages. Probably a 3rd/4th/5th round pick.
Love this guy but I wonder how speed and size of the NFL game impact his tackling ability.
I like Griffin, but I'd prefer to draft a linebacker with a bit more versatility. Griffin is an OLB/Safety only. I'd target a guy with the ability to play MLB or SSLB. One guy that has been tearing up the Senior Bowl, that I love is Darius Leonard. He's been making plays all over the field. He shows speed, range, solid tackling, pass rush moves and coverage ability. He's been one of the true standouts this week and IMO, the best 4-3 linebacker prospect at the Senior Bowl, so far. If he's there in the 4th round, I definitely take him without hesitation. He fits the type of young, athletic linebackers that we already have in Smith and Jack.

Shaquem can play SSLB pretty easily and has the skillset to play MLB too. Despite his hand one of his best attributes is getting off blocks and awareness in pass coverage. He's also a talented pass rusher that can play some wide 9 and allow you to make the strong side role much more versatile.

I can easily see Griffin playing SSLB or WLB, but I just don't envision him as a MLB. I'd like the ability to rotate Jack inside and out and not lose anything at MLB, if he roles over to the strong side. I'm just enamored with the way Leonard has been playing this week. Hopefully, he can carry the momentum over to the game. He reminds me of a small school version of Roquan Smith. He was going all out on every play in practice. He's probably the fastest riser on my draft board, along with OT Tyrell Crosby.

"I'd prefer to draft a guy with more versatility"

He can play all 3 LB spots, can play wide 9 DE, can blitz and cover. Can play some deeper coverages as a box safety.

In terms of versatility they don't get better than Shaq at the LB spot.

I disagree. I don't see him playing MLB. It's just a difference of opinion.

Why not.

It's not his best fit but his skillset is definitely applicable to play MLB if necessary.

Probably the most versatile LB in the draft.
It was announced today that Griffin will in fact, be invited to the NFL Combine. I don't know why it took so long and why they basically made him beg, to get an invite. He should've been invited in the first place.
They had to invite him. I've been screaming about it on Twitter since the list was out, and gradually the national media started asking why as well. The fact that a potential 3rd or 4th round pick (or higher) wasn't invited is ridiculous.

Agreed. I wonder if they saw he had one hand and just assumed he had no chance at getting drafted without actually watching him play? Anybody that ever saw the kid on the field, knows he's a great football player and he's adjusted his game to fit his handicap. Now, it doesn't even matter that he has one hand.
I’m curious if they will let him use the contraption he made for the bench press.

Where did you see a list of invitees? Supposedly the official list won't be posted until Early February.
