I will be disappointed if any of these QB prospects don't throw at the combine. I think there is a lot of competition at the position and they should want to show where they stack up.

Throwing at the combine is pretty meaningless.

Agreed. It's a completely controlled setting. Nothing even close to a game situation. The only thing to judge when a QB throws at the Combine is mechanics. Other than that, it tells teams nothing. For QB's, the most important part of the Combine is team interviews and medicals.

FWIW, Bucky Brooks has Jax taking Lamar Jackson at 29.

I didnt want any QB last draft.  I wanted an elite RB, Fournette or McCaffrey.   I never said Watson wasnt going to be a good QB, I liked Watson coming out but he has played half a season. Watson though was a much better and totally different type of prospect than Lamar Jackson is

Runs too much and is rail thin. Like RG3, he'd be on the injury list every week in the NFL. You can't have that skinny of a frame and run that much in the NFL. That's just my main gripe about him.

1,086 college passing attempts to 655 rushing attempts. In a RPO system. Can’t help what the defense dictates. He threw plenty enough and his career qb rating is better than all the “top” QBs in this draft. Let’s also not forget the utter lack of talent around him. He had to put U of L on his back. Sure he’s not thick framed. So? Do you expect him to stay the same size forever? A year in an pro strengthening program will easily fix that. He knows how to get out of bounds and protect himself and it’s not like he was injury prone.

As of now this would be my plan:

-Keep Blake for another year as I don’t think Cousins will be available
-Franchise Tag ARob (assuming a LTD isn’t done)
- Resign Omameh, Grant, and Poz
- Waive Ivory, Nortman, and possibly Parnell

In FA, I probably wouldn’t throw around too much money. I’d look to bring in some older vets or potential cap casualties like Josh Sitton or Dominic Rodgers-Cromartie.

Draft:

Rd1 Be Available OL - Preferably Orlando Brown is there. Would replace Parnell at RT. Will Hernandez and Isaiah Wynn are also possibilities.

Rd2 Kyle Lauletta - Small school guy that passes the Parcells test. Senior Bowl MVP and has been drawing comparisons to Jimmy Garopollo

Rd3 Best Available TE - Would love to get Gesicki here. A year under Marcedes could help his blocking.

Rd4 Shaquem Griffin LB - Another quick LB to add to our current group. Could also play on the edge, at DB, and ST.

Rd6 Ryan Nall RB/TE - Powerback to replace Ivory

Rd7 Johnny Townsend P - An upgrade and cheaper option to Nortman
