How can you celebrate such a thing? Don't you know that there are democrats out there who can't pay for other people's food stamps and abortions to "win" their votes without that money?

YOU AREN'T DOING YOUR FAIR SHARE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
My job is commission based..

THANK YOU DONALD J. TRUMP. MAGA!

Mine went up almost $700 a month offsetting the increase in my health care costs and adding around $200 more to my monthly bottom line.
I thought they don't kick in until Feb? I'm eagerly waiting to see my check on the 15th

161.6 Billion in 2014-2015 or 6,905 dollars per person.

That was the number in Australia.
Boom.

Why do foreigners rely so heavily on government? I never understood their absolute trust and reliance on their government to give them everything.

No wonder we are the best country on Earth.

And that's not to say that we in America don't pay more, we certainly do. But, as with the discussion going on in the Tariffs thread, foreign actors are dependent on the US economy to prop up their subsidies. It's also quite a different matter to compare healthcare and all it's variables in a relatively homogeneous country like Norway, or a country a tenth the size of the USA like Australia, and just say that if we did it their way it would be better.

Your first paycheck in February should use the new tax tables.
I wondered why my paycheck was about 20 more than usual....

I deduct 3 though so I didn't expect much of a change.

It's a percentage.  The less $$ you make, the less increase you will experience.

Well that isn't very democratic, is it?

I personally think everyone should get the same increase no matter how hard they work.
I think we all make more than the average landscaper but I doubt any of us work harder than them haha

I’d say that depends on your definition of ‘average landscaper”.  If you’re talking about the employees at a major company, then you’re right.  If you’re talking about those guys running around with their truck and trailer with someone helping them doing 100+ lawns a week, I’d imagine you’d be more than likely wrong on both counts.

Nah, I've known plenty of independent landscapers. They ain't making much. And having to go after delinquent payments?

The ones who are doing it for HOAs and Business Parks, they are making the money.

As an owner of one for over 12 years, I’d say they aren’t doing things right.  Been there done that.  Once you figure it out there’s plenty to be made.  The other owners I’ve known and still know are doing really well or just couldn’t figure out how to run a business and got out.  There is no shortage of the old, rich, and lazy in my area.

Not trying to get into a pissing match.  But oddly enough, this morning, I was thinking about the perception people have of those in this occupation.  I have to laugh at it because it certainly isn’t the experience I have had or the other owners I know. After thinking about that this morning and seeing that reply I had to chime in.  It truly doesn’t bother us though.  We secretly have our laugh watching our inbox grow with payment notifications.
