USA, USA, USA!!

Can't wait to watch. Starts tonight!

Little known fact, the Gold medals are mostly made of silver in South Korea. They are gold plated!
I thought I was just being a glutton for punishment last night as I stayed up watching the US-Canada Gold Medal Hockey Match but by 2:15am it all became worthwhile as the US won in an OT Shootout to take the gold.

I assume they will replay it tonight in prime time so if anyone has a chance to check it out, grab a drink and enjoy !!   Both teams are far in advance of the other teams with regard in their skating ability and puck control ..... pretty amazing talent and teamwork.  Definitely, the highlight of my experience with these Olympics.

I was watching the closing ceremony, mostly because it was in the middle of the afternoon and I had nothing better to do, and I couldn't help feel a little sad the Olympics were over. I was still 75% glad it was over and out of the news cycle but there certainly was some sadness as well.

Then the broadcast cut back to the studio where, after a quick recap, they immediately started about the soccer matches that were being held later today and I immediately snapped to 100% sadness that the Olympics had ended.
I'm sure the US will lobby for more X-Games stoner-type events be added to the Olympics so we can ultimately catch up to Norway some day.

We will never care about winter sports.

Their rich kids are better than our rich kids at sports. Oh no!
I don't really care about our medal count. Its not important at all. I like the stories of the winners, and I would probably like the stories of the losers too. If I felt the way about the Jags I do about the Olympics I would probably be a more balanced individual.
