This highlights-only reel of Kalen Ballage is impressive. Most might not imagine he could make so many explosive plays.

He shows outside speed, but I would keep him between the tackles. He gets really low and works his way through some pretty small creases. Any number of his runs show defenders being chopped down like they were hit by a weed-whacker.
He lists as 4.49 in the forty. That's better than Samuels (4.62).
He was pretty poor running inside all through college desire being a freak athlete. Much better as a RB/WR hybrid.

Different OCs/HCs. College Grant was a pretty poor player. Didn't deserve any burn as a rookie. At least now he's shown he can take contact which was one of his big flaws.
I think we'll see him a lot more this season.
Even this past season. He was sparingly used outside of a few special teams trick plays. Then they let him finish up the Texans game and he’s averaging something like 10 yards a rush. After that game we don’t see him on offense again until the patriots game where he’s absolutely beasting. Then we put him back on the bench.
So my personal rankings before the combine:
1. Saquon Barkley | Penn State
2. Sony Michel | Georgia
3. Derrius Guice | LSU
4. Rashaad Penny | San Diego State
5. Nick Chubb | Georgia
6. Ronald Jones II | USC
7. Royce Freeman | Oregon
8. Bo Scarbrough | Alabama
9. Kerryon Johnson | Auburn
10. Mark Walton | Miami
11. Kalen Ballage | Arizona State
12. Josh Adams | Notre Dame
And after the combine:
1. Saquon Barkley
2. Derrius Guice
3. Rashaad Penny
4. Nick Chubb
5. Sony Michel
6. Bo Scarbrough
7. Kerryon Johnson
8. Kalen Ballage
9. Mark Walton
10. Royce Freeman
11. Ronald Jones
12. Nyheim Hines
The top 7 guys could all be gone by the end of round 3 which just shows you the quality of this year’s RB class.

I'm surprised he ran that fast considering how often he's caught from behind.
He's interesting. You have to be careful watching this clip tho because they show the other guy, #9, running with the ball on like 20 percent of the plays.
Look closely to the name on the back of the jersey.

Why do you rate RoJo so low?
