This Sunday i am proud to say i am finally tying the knot with my long time lover and high school sweetheart.

WE ARE GETTING MARRIED!!!!

I know a lot of people will give me a little grief but i have been with the same woman for the last 10 years of my life and it's finally that time. We are doing it at the lightner museum in St.Augustine. The place is bad [BLEEP] and since we always made St.Auggy our little weekend get away, we decided to make this the place. It's been a long time coming but we both wanted to wait till we got out of school and got settled down together. There has never been a rush put on us and honestly every thing feels right. I'm excited but more than anything just ready to get it over with. HOLY CRAP i didn't expect it to be as expensive as it has been but all the pieces are finally in place. We just had a meeting with our planner that will be the final one i attend( thank god lol) so all that is left for me to do is put the ring on her on Sunday.

Wish me luck, I'm going in
May god have mercy on your soul.

My condolences.

Just kidding, of course. Congrats! Hey, where's the bachelor party? Your last chance to turn it loose.
Congratulations!

LOL unfortunately I'm not doing my party right before the wedding because i have been apart of a few night before wedding party disasters. I did mine at the end of January, my best man had all of my groomsmen to his ranch in south Texas where we did some "quail hunting"/partied our [BLEEP] off for a week straight and then stopped in Boluxi on the way home for some last minute mistakes at a few casinos lol. My fiance' did her bachlorette party in Ashville NC a week before me so we got those out of the way early lol.

My mother always said if you can't say something nice...
When's the Wake?
Sorry to hear bro, good luck
Why did you wait 10 years?

I think he inferred that it took a while because he was waiting for Florida to legalize marriage to his long time partner.

He said her. Btw, the speaker implies, the listener infers.
Is same sex marriage legal in FL?

College, life, and I suck at planning. We have been engaged 2 years. I also had a head injury 2 months after I proposed which slowed things down a bit. But most of all, there was never really a rush. Just took it day by day and before you know it, a decade passes.

lol nah.  Although sometimes I really do question who is the man. Luckily she is definitely the woman so her family is paying for most of the wedding LOL I guess that's a Catholic thing.

Yep, in a traditional sense the parents of the male pays for the rehearsal dinner (if there is one) while the parents of the female pay for the wedding.

CONGRATS !!!   After 10 years of dating, I'd imagine the transition process will be quite easy ... lol

That’s nice of her parents. After this long and I’m assuming living together, you’d be paying for your own stuff if I were her parents.  Tongue
Roughly 5,000 soldiers died on the original D-day. Let's hope yours goes slightly better.

I played 9 holes and barely made it to the church on time for my first marriage.  In hindsight, I wish I had continued onto the back nine and skipped the wedding completely.

Hope yours is the right choice the first time out.  Best of luck.

Yeah we have lived together through college all the way to now so realistically this is a formality. She deserves the wedding if her dreams, if I hadn't been with her this long and there were other circumstances, it would a bit of a different story. Her parents have done very well for themselves so they've don't mind at all.
