J.T Barrett out of OSU is another guy we could probably get later on who I think could develop into a solid QB if left alone for a year or two as well. He's been fairly accurate throughout his career and hasn't made a lot of mistakes with the football. Mike White is another guy we could land late and develop.
If Falk is there with our late 3rd round pick, we really don't want to push it any further. You got to take him there.

Does Falk have a strong enough arm to be a productive q.b. in the NFL?

One scout compared his arm strength, frame and accuracy to Sam Bradford coming out of college. Another league scout compared his arm strength and accuracy to Kirk Cousins and another to Matt Hasselbeck. That's plenty strong enough.
Marshall grad here. I would not count on Litton being anything more than a PS QB.

Personally, I don't like Falk. I believe he'll be there somewhere in the 5th or 6th round. Using a 3rd round pick on him would be a waste.
Matt Miller on Falk today: “Too often forgotten in this quarterback class is Luke Falk. The Washington State senior doesn't have a huge arm or game-changing speed, but he's incredibly intelligent and has enough tools to start in the NFL. While Falk might not have the ceiling of Josh Allen or Lamar Jackson, his floor is higher. If he becomes a Kirk Cousins-type starter, it wouldn't be a surprise. Interviews and workouts should be very kind to Falk all week.”

I think his floor is higher than Allen but not Lamar.

I really think you're sleeping on the kid. I see him pushing Blake to start as early as mid-2019.

Lamar is a unique talent who may have a higher floor, but I put Falk's floor over both Allen's and Rudolph's. My gut says that Allen and Rudolph are going to be INT factories in the NFL. Falk is an exciting talent with much greater accuracy and intelligence.
I did not expect to encounter any Falk-stans this draft season...

Exciting talent? He's a bigger Cody Kessler but worse against pressure.
Rudolph isn't my favourite but he has a massively higher floor + ceiling in my eyes. I see some bits of Falk I like but the overall package? Hard pass.

After a year or two of grooming in the NFL I can see Falk developing into a very good quarterback, but then again, what do I know? I thought Barkley would develop nicely.

Oh yeah I ain't knocking you. Just giving my thoughts. QB is such a crapshoot that nfl teams get them wrong every single year. Could see a world where Falk gets in the right offense and just clicks with his accuracy.
So I just checked out Mike White, and I'm really not at all impressed. Dude is gonna get killed.
I have no clue how I'd rank the guys, but I can separate them by whether or not I'm impressed by them while loosely ranking them...
Impressed...
- Sam Darnold
- Josh Rosen
- Baker Mayfield
- Lamar Jackson
- Luke Falk
- Chase Litton
Not impressed...
- Josh Allen
- Nic Shimonek
- Mason Rudolph
- Mike White
- Kyle Lauletta
Wow, one more for team Falk!

He was an after thought in a conference full of punching bags. He wasn't bad but he wasn't good. Litton was average (his stats reflect as much) in a weak conference. For comparison, Rakeem Cato looked like a world beater compared to Litton under the same OC. Cato is playing for the Richmond Roughriders of the American Arena League.

Thanks for the heads up. He does have some very impressive highlights, but perhaps I need to look at more game tapes.
Mike Kaye: The #Jaguars had a formal meeting with Marshall QB Chase Litton at the NFL Combine, per league source.
I like Tanner Lee out of Nebraska. Good arm, but similar to Gabbert when it comes to pressure. If he can be coached up, he could be a solid backup.
I've been a Josh Allen guy since January when it comes to the early QBs.
My "later" guys are:
White
Lauletta
Tanner Lee
In that order ^
