I want Chad Kelly. If we could grab him in the second I think we would be doing well. He can sit behind Bortles for a bit and if Bortles doesn't turn it around we have our next qb ready to go.

LOL, stop. He is awful.
Why would anybody think for one second about drafting a QB in 2017 anyway? It is not going to happen.

If Blakes struggles continue it's not out of the question to bring in a third arm (assuming Henne is released).
If a talented guy falls into our laps why not? It's clear that Blake is inconsistent and will struggle both with his mechanics and the cerebral aspect.

You missed the part about hiring new coaches who can fix Blake.

I'd rather not draft Chad Henne when we already have him on the roster...

You draft a QB until you find one. We can't put all our eggs in Blake's basket the way he has regressed.

Don't waste your time
Not in favor of Kelly, mostly because he's a head-case......................but, I do agree we'll probably end up letting Henne walk and picking up another QB this year, either via draft or free agency
If we do go QB, I'd like the following:
1. Luke Falk (Accurate, seasoned passer)
2. Mitch Trubisky (Has the tools but is still raw, another year in college may benefit him)
3. Baker Mayfield (Not a prototypical-esque QB in the size department. He has a fiery, competitive spirit though. Possibly a late round flyer on this guy.)
Mahomes scares me because he throws his passes like a baseball.
I'd be okay with Kelly, but only in the 2-4th range. He is very raw. Has crazy arm talent but has been pressured and will still try to toss the long ball and can't get enough on it. Our offensive line is what we need to focus on first and foremost. Face it, we will be drafting maybe top five, maybe even top 3 if this continues. I haven't given up on Yeldon/Ivory, our offensive line just gets zero push on the run and gives up too much pressure. We need to take the Dallas route and make some smart first round lineman picks. But I think Bortles is done for us and we do need to look elsewhere. Watching him against the Raiders, his mechanics have regressed like crazy. He has a Tebowish wind up now.
Not a fan of Kelly. He looks like a career backup at best. I wouldn't mind taking a flyer on Luke Falk though. He wouldn't cost us a high draft pick and he could be someone we could bring in to compete while only spending a 4th-6th round pick on. He's far from a sure thing, but he has some raw tools that show me there is some potential.
Wonder how far Kelly's stock falls with a tore ACL? I'd take a late round flyer on him.
