Quote:Only reason he may not fire him is if he's essentially punishing him by forcing to live with this mess he's created for nine more excruciating weeks.
That's the dumbest reason I have ever heard.

The goal?  Make the players eat their words.  Makes me wonder what the heck they said in their meeting Monday.  He must be ready to drive the Gus bus all over the players.
I wasn't being serious guys. Attempting humor is all I have left for the Jags this season.

I'm praying to the football Gods we have an interim coach by this afternoon.

I mean if Shad just had some personal thing with Gus and wants to see him never have another job in the nfl, this would be a heck of a way to do it. Problem it comes at the expense of us, the fans.

If this were true, it would almost ... almost make me put up with this a little easier.

Fingers crossed that when I'm done I can log on here and see that Gus is gone.

Jesus, I've been saying it for weeks. He's not going anywhere.

Stop calling me Jesus.
I know it will never happen in a million years, but Gus should consider stepping down.  He certainly knows now he will be gone at year's end.  And that the only reason Khan is delaying is to not make a "knee jerk, mid-season" change.

He should say that he meant it when he talked about putting the team first.

There's a better than even chance Gus will be fired today or tomorrow, in spite of what Khan said after the game.

Think of it this way: In answering the question, "Are you going to fire Gus," Khan cannot say anything but "No" until he actually fires the guy.   I don't think Khan is such a low class guy that he would fire Gus in the newspapers before he fired him face to face.

The trouble with stepping down is that you don't get paid the rest of your contract.   If Gus gets fired, Khan has to pay out the rest of his contract.
We may need some Guerrilla Warfare type crap to get Gus Bradley fired.

  • Booing needs to be heard when the team is announced and runs out of the tunnel.
  • How many people would be willing to run onto the field during a game with "Fire Gus Bradley" banners?
  • Paper Bags need to be the wearing attire for the next home game.
  • Instead of "Move the Chains" when we get a first down, we need "Fire Gus Bradley" when the other team gets a first down.
  • @TonyKhan needs to be constantly asked if Gus Bradley is fired yet.
Basically, we need to take ownership and force a move.

We can fly a banner over the stadium.

Yea, I thought about that, but our owner, players, and coach do not have the mental awareness to notice a large banner flying in the air. I thought maybe if it runs out on the field during a game they might see it.
@HaysCarlyon @HaysCarlyon Looks like we can rule out a change of heart by Khan. #Jaguars announce Gus conference call at 1:30 today.

Is this a public thing or a closed door call? I assume closed door so I wonder how this is even news. "Gus getting a phone call at 1:30, stay tuned!"

I think that's his weekly call. Closed door but important because it would have been cancelled if Gus was getting the ax.

Unless he gets the axe on that call.

I'm clinging desperately to hope here.
And Gus is on the call as the team's head coach, giving the same "learn from this" bullcrap he's been feeding us since 2013.

Bye Jags. See you when you give a [BLEEP].
