Senior writer John Oehser’s first 2018 NFL Mock Draft; with the No. 29 overall selection, the Jaguars select …
Much better than that doofus on NFL.com Chad Reuter
If WIll Hern drops to us its a no brainer. Prob could start right away and then we will have Cann as needed depth.
I think I read somewhere that he has only played LG. Is that an easy transition to play RG?
Hernandez over Conner Williams tho?

Parnell is doing just fine at RT. Wouldn't it make sense to lock the RG spot up, and then if we want to get rid of Parnell at some point, we can acquire a RT then.

RT is not a difficult position to fill. Prob can fill that in a later round if we want a backup/successor to Parnell. JMO

I know, but how do you pass a solid first-round caliber OT for a G with horrible technique?

Whoa. Where did you hear that?
I'll put my neck out and say I'd rather have Connor Williams than Hernandez. Versatility is nice and he offers that in spades. I don't think it would be a stretch to have him and Cam battle it out at LT even. The only real reason Connor is being asked to go inside is because his arms measured a little short, but his footwork, frame, track record, and athleticism all say he should be a good LT.

Robinson had more legit concerns with staying at LT and if we're being honest his rookie season was not stellar. Automatically assuming growth and progression could backfire and having another guy with a stud LT NCAA resume could be nice.
While I think Hernandez would provide a great boost compared to Cann especially in the running game (and I'd probably pick him in this scenario) I have to say I'd be happy either with him or Connor Williams. 2 very good players.
Williams could play RG and then move to RT after we move on from Parnell.

That's why I'd also take Williams. Also, remember last year when they took Cam Robinson over Lamp. They still had Brandon Albert, but felt there was more value with a tackle in the first round. If either tackle got hurt, you'd be able to move Williams over with little problem- not the same with Josh Wells.
