a 2 down LB who can stack and shed. Should be available late In the draft.

He's just a Poz clone. Can't afford to have guys like him on the field anymore. Even though I love his game.
Not true. You're going to need a Sam to play Sam.

Meaning, you're going to be adding/playing a guy who is only going to be a two down player. It's the nature of the position.

That's why I don't expect us to take a LB until later. Two down LBs aren't going high in the draft. You can find that value later.
Darius Leonard is a beast and would fit right in at SAM.

Having a Sam who can't cover is asking your defense to be exploited by competent OCs in today's NFL.

Even if he's only playing two downs, the better they are at coverage the better for your defense. Thankfully this LB class is quite deep, agree on us taking a LB later on.
I think you could possibly get away with having a limited thumper type at Sam seeing as how they only play around 30-40% of snaps but ideally you want to make your defense as matchup proof as possible.

The 49ers heavily exploited that last year.
While I want us to go OL in round one... LB is easily our most help needed position. We are razor thin on talent. If we went LB in round one I wouldn't be upset (still think we should go OG in round 1).
