Texans installing new offense for QB Deshaun Watson

http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000...aun-watson

Houston Texans head coach Bill O'Brien revealed at the Annual League Meeting that his team is installing an entirely different offense this offseason.
Interesting decision. I felt he was playing at a ROY level last year with the offense they were running. They just need to beef up his protection and get the ground game going more consistently between Miller and Foreman.
ie: fewer reads

Yup, Clemson's spread offense.
I thought he was doing just fine with what they were running. Oh well. I expect him to have a down year. If it ain't broke don't fix it. But they are trying to fix it so RIP his season.
Maximizing strengths.

Wise.

They need to see about maximizing his protection.  His OL last year was a dumpster fire.

Very true.  Part of the changes could be to help minimize the impact of the OL and buy them time to get things fixed.

That tells me more 3 step drops and shorter passes, which would detract from his strengths.

Or rollouts and rolling pockets, and designed runs - putting more of the game on his shoulders and less on the OL.  I'd say they will certainly be more imaginative.
This is related to the protection discussion.
