I'd understand these picks but they'd make me nervous as all get out. Hernandez tecnhique and footwork is as bad as I've ever seen coming out of college wherein I picture getting him routinely schooled as a rookie starter on the field. I know he's s amazingly strong and all, but he has so much to learn it's not even funny. I'd so much rather have Isaiah Wynn.

Andrews to me looks like a nearly perfect TE able to catch and block, but he struggles in humid environments with his medical condition so I really feel he should stay the heck out of Florida.

He gets noticed especially in college because he's so much stronger than the other players, but watch breakdowns of his game. He's all over the place. It's like they never even taught him how to play with leverage our how to properly use his feet. He has so much to learn but has been able to get by on raw strength.

No... he's got the strength to move DTs while he's upright and will learn the game... but there's an urgency to start him as a rookie, and that's sure to spell trouble.

I don't think there would be urgency to start him at all. We already added norwell...

I think that really only leaves one question mark on the OL and there are plenty of guys that will compete for the spot that are competent enough.

If we landed Hernandez and he outplayed them in camp, then sure, start him....if not, there is enough OL depth to get the job done.

From just reading the scouting reviews of the prospects, I think Hernandez is the perfect pick for us among the players that are likely to be available.    We want to play a power running game, and he seems like the perfect power running offensive guard.

If we want to run inside, the trio of Norwell, Linder, and Hernandez would probably give us the best trio in the league at those positions. 

Then we draft TE in the second round, and Nick Chubb, RB, Ga, in the third round.

Due to the acquisition of Norwell, I'd rather the Jaguars take an offensive lineman who can play both guard and tackle. The 3 best prospects, in no particular order, would be Wynn, Crosby and Williams. I'd be happy with any of those guys.

Yup, I'll trust nfl scouts report than this guy bash a player that I just dont like scouting report.

Yup, I like his scenario. Sounding like the Dallas cowboys oline a couple of years ago when they dominated.  Chubb and  Fournette, that's just going to be nasty punishing  duo.

Hernandez has good footwork and technique though. One of the most polished linemen in the class..

Hernandez has good footwork and technique though. One of the most polished linemen in the class..

Agree, when you watch him he looks technically sound for the most.

Which Will Hernandez are you writing about?

Mike Mayock compares Will Henanadez to Richie Incognito. 

This is the bottom line write up on Will:

BOTTOM LINE

 Four-year starter at left guard and the most highly-decorated offensive linemen in UTEP history. Hernandez possesses a rare combination of power, balance, and athletic ability. He is a plus run blocker with the anchor and footwork to handle himself in pass protection as well. Though he lacks height and length teams would like, it shouldn't hurt his stock much. Hernandez should be able to step in as an immediate starter with a high ceiling.-Lance Zierlein

 BTW, the high ceiling doesn't mean he has a lot to learn and will make a lot of mistakes. It means after the draft he is YOUR starting LG and you should have high expectations for his career.

I think you are exaggerating his weaknesses. That video shows a player who has all of the tools to be a pro-bowl level G, but will definitely need some pro-level coaching to achieve that. I'm confident that Flaherty could make that happen. He'd be a great pick at 29.
