That being said, Mason Rudolph is easily my favorite guy not named Darnold, Rosen, or Mayfield. Just so much I like to see out of a QB from him. If he's there I think I'd pull the trigger and I actually like Bortles. Either Blake earns a 3rd contract and we have Rudolph to trade or Blake is released after 2020 and Rudolph is ready to take over (and under a cheap contract). Grab best available OL in Rd. 2 and Ian Thomas in Rd. 3.

With Lamar I thought you could tell he was taking some zip off his throws to try to get better accuracy at the combine, since everyone knows he gets plenty of velocity from his lightning quick wrist flick release but struggles with consistent accuracy.
Similarly, when you watch Lauletta throw, it's like Leftwich without the hitch. It takes a month to get where it's going and he lofts a lot of throws. He's likely to be an interception machine in the NFL.
I don't value velocity like I used to. Logan Thomas aced it. It was just everything else he was missing.
There's a lot that goes into a throw well before velocity is measured. (And after.)
