I wouldn't hate it. Most of the tackles left at that point are dart throws. TCU players are all well coached and Notebloom has the athletiscm and size you can mold.
Not my fav pick but if you are going for a tackle in the 3rd you can do worse.

I would do backflips for this draft.
Moore AND Hurst? I wouldn't even care about the rest of the draft if we snagged those 2.

I'll be disappointed if we take a WR in the first. That means Cole or Westbrook is going to be the 5th option and never see any playing time. Both of them have tons of potential, they need to be out there.
Give me Hernandez with our first round pick. Hurst in the 2nd is good. I don't know anything about that tackle, so I can't really say one way or another.

Not a fan. I love the 2nd round pick, but we don't need a WR in round 1 and Noteboom in round 3 is a huge reach.

At that spot, I'd rather have the kid from NC A & T before Noteboom.

I really don't like going WR in the first this year for the Jags.
Hurst is great there if he falls that far.
Noteboom seems like he could maybe be that guy that competes at RG this year with Cann and is groomed to take Parnell's spot down the road, but I wonder if he'll be an immediate upgrade at guard.
Not crazy about it - don't despise it.
BTW - Rob Rang has been pretty on point with his prospect rankings and grades when compared to how they end up being selected in the past 4 or 5 years. More so than most of the draft guys at the large networks and sites from what I've seen.

Me too. I'm really high on Parker. I really think he can be a very good OT in the league ala Terron Armstead.

I just think that realistically the only three positions that a rookie can start at is RG, TE, LB (Blair Brown is ok but he could be upgraded if the right player fell to us). So I just think those should be our first 2 or 3 picks. After those positions are filled with a starter level talent... lets start finding players that can replace a more expensive player next year (Possibly DT, DE, WR, OT).

Gotta keep giving Blake playmakers and what better way than to add 2 players who are arguably the best at their position. Moncreif (1 year deal with injury concerns), Lee (injury concerns), Cole and Westbrook are not written in stone and Moore would immediately be the most talented WR on the roster. We all know how great a prospect Hurst is so selecting him in the 2nd round is a no brainer.
Moore and Hurst both immediately help the offense this season but also help continue building the roster for the future.

I know the draft is unpredictable but it seems that most mocks ive seen has Hurst going last in the 1st. Cant imagine a scenario where he makes it to the late 2nd round.

Only thing I like about this is Hayden Hurst in the second round.
Unfortunately that’s not going to be possible.
And are we really going to pass on Will Hernandez, if he’s available?

I don't necessarily have a problem with drafting a WR in the first, but I just feel the talent gap from getting a WR in the first to second is pretty small so I don't see the reason to go for one 1st. On the flip side, I don't think there's a pure slot guy on the team so if they go for it I can understand it. Moncrief is split end, Lee and Westbrook are flankers, Cole is kinda a mix, and Mickens is a slot guy but how reliable is he there we don't know. If you can insert Moore or Kirk instantly as the slot, not bad. I'm kind of hoping for Chark in the second though. Maybe a slot guy later on.

I would absolutely hate our third round pick.
Why? He's one of the more highly rated OTs in this draft.

Unless we like another o-lineman better, I don't see why we would pass on Hernandez. They want to make it easier on Fournette and Bortles and improving that right guard spot does just that. Other than maybe a stud RT, there's really no other position in that is going to have that big of an impact right now.

Yeah - unless they are really set on going with either:
- moving Linder to RG and landing a stud center - or -
- drafting Parnell's 2019 replacement who will play guard in 2018

I agree with you about wide receiver. Moore will be a very good slot receiver, but they could get DaeSean Hamilton in the 4th round and he's almost as good. Offensive line and tight end should be the 1st 2 picks, unless someone of great value at another position falls to them in either round. Hernandez should be very good, but I really doubt he'll be there at the end of the first. I actually prefer one of the linemen who could start at guard, but eventually replace Parnell at right tackle. Connor Williams and Ty Crosby would be excellent choices as their style fits in well with the current linemen on the team. Crosby might be a slight reach in the first so if the opportunity is there to trade back to the top of the 2nd and get an extra 3rd or 4th rounder they should consider it. The extra pick could then be used to move back up in the 2nd or 3rd rounds to take a guy they covet.

I wonder if these guys are hearing something from sources, cause it's weird that all of the sudden mocks are giving us Moore/Kirk/Ridley like crazy.

It's a smokescreen or people throwing poo at the wall. Caldwell keeps everything close to the vest so there aren't any leaks really. Last year people started mocking us Watson and saying that's who we preferred when it was always Fournette we were looking at (although Thomas may have been an option if he was there).
So much can happen up until our pick also. It's not like we are picking top 3 where there are only so many legitimate scenarios.

Meh, Bortles was a shocker...but Fowler, Ramsey (when not already off the board), and Fournette were all by far the most common mocked to us. Joeckel was late too even once the Fisher 1.01 rumors started popping up.
I do agree the exact player will be much harder to nail since we pick so late, but I think the overall mood of what we're wanting most can probably be deciphered.
