Maybe Dave was really torn on draft day 2014. Apparently he really liked Carr too. He ended up taking Bortles, and he really believes in the guy. Must have been hard seeing how incredible Carr looks, nevermind the fact he could have taken Mack at #3.
He probably knows this decision could end up costing him his job, an exclusive dream job that he had to work his butt off to get. He may not get another shot at this. The tears may be justified.
Quote:You said that already.
Yeah and, what of it?
I swear to god this thread is pure gold.
Quote:Caldwell and Khan missed on their opportunity for the perfect coach for this team: Hue Jackson.
That Browns team has zero talent, god awful QBs, the worst secondary and only one good player in Pryor.... and yet he has them playing way above their talent level. He also is a QB wiz who could really help Blake. Gus has a team that NEVER plays above their talent level. Ever. It's really sad.
They're 0-7 with a -77 point differential. Not exactly a coach of the year candidate.
Quote:His salary has been cut so Kahn can build more giant scoreboards. Scoreboards hanging from airplanes in the sky, Scoreboards underneath the playing field, and Scoreboard give away day. Actual Jaguars football will be replaced with a Virtual Reality experience where fans sit in the bleachers wearing goggles watching a simulated game. During the simulated game Gus Bradley will bring you ice cream but the Jaguars still lose.
What are these things you mention? Scoreboards?
Khan has his base season ticket holders locked in. He ain't making changes till next year.
Then it'll be, the team needs time to adjust, but we expect big things.
The team is like the practice fields. The preview was nice. A sleek, futuristic venue. Then after the city's money was collected, the real warehouse looking shack was displayed.

They completely gutted that team. They are using a rookie QB and another rookie QB who wasn't drafted and is on his 2nd team.....
I guarantee you if Hue was the coach of this team, they would be 4-2 or better.

Kessler and Hogan are both better than our failure QB. Coach Gussy has won two games with this slob slinging it around, Hue has no excuse.

Based on that, Gus did a great job in his 1st year too because that was one sorry roster. We can all agree with that. As for your guarantee, ummm, okay, that's not worth so much is it?

This.
I look at what he did with the Oakland team that had less talent than this squad and he got them to 8-8.
He is responsible for Dalton's success.
It is obvious to the laymen fan that this system is garbage. The defense has been coming around but still generates no turnovers or game/momentum changing plays. They just aren't burnt toast as in the last few years. This offense and especially quarterback has regressed into the anemic atrocity that it was with Blaine Gabbert and Chad Henne. Basically the quarterback is just waiting and procrastinating the snap and then looking for a place to fall down because that is literally how much confidence we're playing with. This is horribly unacceptable and a change needs to happen last month.

It's worth nothing but it's my opinion that Hue would be doing a much better job if he was the coach of this team.

I'm sure he's a better head coach than Bradley. There's no argument there. At this point though I want them to look at a HC with lots of experience.
Quote:Agreed. Im starting to question Khan's decisions.
You just started?
Khan is so stupid when it comes to football, guy has no clue and seems like he is just unable to learn.
everyone can say what they want about Blake, Malik, Yeldon, Allen, Allen, or any other player............. The issue is DISCIPLINE, Thats on the Coaches, there is none, this explains the multiple penalties every week, no one is held accountable
I'm sure they are mad, but does anyone think they are going to do anything about it? For some reason, I think Gus will be here atleast until January. Who knows, maybe they might allow him to stay for 2017. I wouldn't be surprised with this bunch, they don't seem to care about winning.
After the 16 penalty source by Bklyn, he gets the benefit of the doubt from me now. Now unless Khan fired Dave, I don't really believe the crying but I really do hope they make a change

His source was a copy and paste from a Twitter post.

Money > winning
Quote:Yea, we demand to hear from Dave. I mean how can Dave sit there and say Gus is the answer
If Gus is the answer, it must have been a pretty stupid question...
