Come on then, time to boast - did anyone here suggest or predict we’d pick Taven Bryan?

(I don’t mean just saying we would pick a defensive player or the best available Dlineman)

I don’t think I’ve seen his name mentioned here.
It was as jaw dropping as the Alualu pick. If the Jags dont take Bryan, then he falls to the 2nd round.
He was one of two DTs on my like list, can I get a cookie?

Except Tyson was selected in the top 10.
Someone in last night's live thread mentioned that Bryan had dropped so far he may be worth the pick on straight value (plus the DL cap situation with Dareus/Jackson/Campbell)

I don't think anyone saw it coming at all though until he dropped past 24 or so.
I kept mocking him to Atlanta. Really like him, I just didn't see us taking him.
I had Bryan on my pre-draft board as the 4th best guy remaining after Hernandez, Goedert and Sutton. There is always 1 guy who falls much lower than projected and Bryan was that guy. I still would have taken Hernandez because that offensive line would have been incredible, but Bryan was rated higher than him in most projections. This was a perfect example of taking BAP rather than someone at a greater need area. You can hardly ever go wrong by doing that.
Being at 29, just about anything was on the table.

It was unexpected because there was no way to know which 28 were going to go ahead of us, and most expected a different position.

But this is life at the bottom of the round. The view is very different than being in the top 10 where you can typically narrow it to 2-3 choices well ahead of time.
I threw his name out as a Malik Jackson replacement in the first a few picks before ours.

Wasn't on my radar at all before the draft tbh
I picked him on one of the fanspeak mocks I did haha

I mocked him to Philly in our annual mock draft on the board.  Even cited how he would fit as both a 3 tech and 5 tech. I really like him and love his potential just didn't think we would actually pull the trigger on him. Cudos to Cough-Well for sticking to their boards.

I think right now, I'd like him more at 3-tech.  His speed getting off the snap is awesome and he's got a nose for shooting that gap.
