Why keep the more expensive, older version of the same player? If Richardson is neck and neck with Parnell after the preseason, the decision will be an easy one. I believe Parnell is gonna have to play significantly better than Richardson to keep his job.

Why keep Parnell?? Because we had injuries to the O-Line all year last year... we need at LEAST 7 bodies that can go at all times.

If we had the luxury of doing that, by all means, keep him, but we need to start preparing to cut salaries to get under the cap. If cutting Parnell means we get to keep someone like Dareus or Jackson, I'm all for it.

I feel like thats a decision that should be made next offseason, not right now or anytime soon

I love when somebody uses the broad term 'this fan base' when one or two people make some sort of derogatory comment.

I didn't even see anyone "crucifying him." I saw a few people say that there were character concerns....which is exactly what getting 2 DWIs is....a red flag on the character side.

It's something that teams like to be aware of for a reason. No one was bashing him, just stating facts.

2019 it begins.

Based on our draft picks, it has.

Our draft picks give us the ability to replace those players and keep our cap healthyish without having to throw rookies right into the fire. It's a good way of keeping the window open longer, assuming they hit of course, but I agree the draft didn't do much to help us win right now.

No it's 90% of the fan base 100% of the time. Smh.

That's true starting the season, but that might not be true halfway through the season.   Our first 4 picks are quality depth and we might need them after we play 8 or 10 games.   At the start of last season, who among us thought Keelan Cole would help us win as much as he did?
